Another Wigan Mini Munch???????

After having a fantastic time at the Manchester Munch last weekend and having my arm twisted by a lovely couple (Anne and Baz lol

) about doing another Wigan Mini Munch, me and Mr NWC thought we would ask for some feedback before we went ahead and arranged anything.
Venue
Firstly, for the peeps who came to the first one, what did you think about the venue? Is it worth me trying to get the room again or should we look elsewhere?
Buffet
Iit didnt seem to go down too well at the first one, so would you want food doing, or would you all be happy with some 'nibbles'?
Dates
With the Swinging Heaven Diary being very full at the moment, when would be a good time (only looking for an approx month as will need to check with the venue)
Disco/Music
It was well received last time but would you want the same this time, or would some noisy background music be ok? Unless anyone is willing to provide the equipment and the expertise! :lol:
Fancy Dress
A couple of people suggested that as the Munch was in a private room, it would be a good idea to do it as a theme or fancy dress, again, what do you think about this? Theme, fancy dress, normal dress or optional?
Anyway as I said we are only thinking about it at the moment and would like some constructive feedback before we go ahead and arrange anything. If anyone has any good ideas for a venue (just in case the first one is not what people want, or if they wont let us back in) could you please PM me with some ideas!
We must be mad doing this again!!!

I would be interested in coming to the Wigan Munch 2......
I can't comment on the venue or music or food cause I wasn't at the last one....but as for dates, can i suggest early July? Cause the only event that I can see on in July is the Notts Munch and that's the end of July.....so what about something like 9th or the 16th?

well got full dj set up smoke and bubbles lights lazers ect all will need is music cd`s so get copying them ,cause would hate to lose/scratch originals

Flippen eck, what a response! So what do you think about the place we used last time? Is it worth me trying to get the same room, or would somewhere bigger be better? (we can fit around 70 people in the room)
Thanks Misschief, I could not decide if this was suitable for LMU or as it was just a general enquiry at this point, if it would be more suitable in the Cafe! I really dont mind where it is, as some would say, Im easy lol

Satin, after meeting you for the first time at the Manchester Munch, you can turn up dressed in what every you like :lol: (all the girls were totally jealous of those legs though)
The room we used last time was seperate from the remainder of the pub so if people wanted to come along in any type of dress, they would only be with others from the site (apart from the bar staff)
Dreamer Helen suggested July, which is a good time for us, so I will contact the place to get some dates and let you all know!
Just want some more feedback on the venue, dress code and whether anyone wants a buffet!

Hellooooooo naughty wigan couple XXX (and indeed anyone else who's reading)
First off I'd like to express myinterest in attending mini munchin wigan or in fact any social event in NW.
I've been advised by some friends from chatroom and othe sites to use this forum as a good way to meet people.
However, Im not entirely sure how it works so and I can only assum it's different to the adverts and regular mailing system which never seems to get responses etc,,,
I'd greatly appreciate it if any peeps could give me feedbck on how to use the forum, or indeed any comments or feedback on my profile, pics, etc....

if you have another karaoke please, please, please keep sugs away from the microphone. The experience of having ones earwax melted @ 50 paces should only happen once in any sentient beings lifetime.

Oh no, the Karaoke, the sounds coming from it were certainly 'different' to sa the least but I gotta say that Sugs singing was way better than anything I could do! I was banned from going anywhere near it, or the room would have been empty within two minutes!
Maybe we will stick with Trainmans music this time lol

Might be safer on the ears!

How could i possibly have forgotten that mrs hardnlusty was the duet partner to sugs?
Between them they have a sound, which if it was available to arms dealers, would contravene most countries strategic arms limitation treaties.
A word of advice to anyone going to the next event. Their expertise in the karaoke dept is best appreciated from inside a nuclear strike bunker, at least a county away, and preferably on another continent.
Mind you - they still sound better than me. If you listen to a dalek gargling underwater, you will get an appreciation of my singing prowess.
Maby karaoke aint such a good idea for the next event!

OI PLC do you value your bollox's hun well you better keep ya hands on them on the nite or you will be losing them no worrie's.
