Any munches planned in or around Norwich soon???

Hi all,
New couple to the site, quick intro.
I am kieron, 24 , str8 and my wife is karen 29, bi.
We are looking to have some fun but really liked the idea of these munch meets as great ice breakers. drinkies

Just wanted to know if there ever has been or if anyone would be interested in trying to arrange one in the norwich area as this is where we will be moving to soon smile

Hi Kieron and Karen,
I'm not sure there are enough of us around. Threads have started up a couple of times before (do a search of this forum on 'norwich') but we don't seem to have got anything off the ground.
There is currently a 'sticky' about a possible Munch in Peterborough which isn't too far away and has attracted a lot of interest but the guy who started it doesn't seem to be around much. I did offer to help him.
There are a couple of MSN groups in the area who organise socials but I haven't been because I'm not sure about the level of discretion. What I can suggest you do when you're settled here is contact Angela and Clint at Euphoria (half an hour's drive) who run a very laid back naturist B&B and arrange monthly couples parties. I've been (single bird but borrowed a man for the night!) and it would be a good, civilised way of meeting other couples. I was already thinking of approaching them about a mini-Munch.
Norwich is lovely but you might find that for Swinging you'll wish you'd moved to Manchester!

Just thought I'd draw your attention to the possible party in Cambridgeshire (search for Cambridgeshire), which isn't far from Norwich at all. I'm trying to get an idea of numbers but so far I haven't received many confirmation/proto-confirms. If you're interested I need to hear from ya! send to the_pup_ biggrin

Hi Pup,
I noticed your party and it might be fun for Appledore but not for me I'm afraid. It's that 'no single males'. Gets me every time. I'm still looking for parties with men as I'm not really very bi and being in a majority of women with only their husbands present doesn't appeal to me. Disappointing for me but well done for organising something in East Anglia.
Actually, hope you don't mind me asking but why are you excluding single males?

Hi there Kieron and Karen
I'd like to offer you any help you need with arranging a munch in the Norwich area.
I have only organised one party in a public venue before (and a couple at my own home), but everyone who went seemed to think it was well organised.
There is a lot of hard work that goes into making these type of meets a success, but the happiness you feel at seeing people enjoying them so much makes all the hard work worthwhile.
Have a look at some of the threads that have been posted about munches and you will see what sort of response you can expect.
There were 89 at the party that I organised and I feel sure that everyone enjoyed themselves.
I also know a few people in the Norwich area (Thorpe Marriott mainly) who may be able to suggest venues etc.
Give me a shout if you feel that you want to organise a party and I'll do whatever I can to help you.

I must say thank you to all who have replied, you have been nothing but helpful and friendly on this thread and at somepoint we will have to try a norwich munch as there seems to be a few people out there semi interested smile

So for now i will leave the munch thought alone, but may i ask that if there is anyone in the norwich area who will go to the peterborough munch if that maybe the wife and i could hitch a lift confused

:D as i am finding out now it is a lot of hard work, but i am sure the rewards as worth it and i am sure you'll get loads of people from around the country wanting to come....
see what the peterborough munch is like first and have a word with people who have organised them....
i just found that if everybody waits on someone else to arrange one then nothing gets done.... :D :D :D
be brave, have fun and stick you neck out... lol everyone will love you for it really....honest!!!! lol

It's not that there won't be single males, it's just that we already have our quota of single men. We're looking to host people in total and would like those numbers to consist of -12 couples, c.6-7 single women and c.5 males. Essentially the 'no single men' line is to discourage an overflow in my mailbox, and is still a regulation!!!! biggrin

I too am interested in attending a Norwich Munch since Im a local lad!
Please excuse me for being forward, but if I could arrange something for Fri 6th Aug, would anyone be interested in attending?
Never having been to a 'munch' before, can I presume it's like a social meet and greet?
If it is, then I'll research possible venues and accommodation sites in the vicinty.
Obviously, if people are interested, then let me know ASAP and I'll get the ball rolling!

thanks!! organising a munch is hard work... i am tearing my hair out all the time....
why don't you make the roadie up to newcastle and make a weekend of it at the north-east munch in october....... you know you'd enjoy it... all welcome!!!! biggrin
