No-one is allowed to spam the boards with multiple identical posts. Sometimes people do it cos they are very naughty, but one or all of these naughty posts get removed. If you can show us specific examples that we have missed we will deal with them. Cheers.

You missed nothing. The point was, the two posts were the same, so what did you miss??? As I understand it, the oldest one was deleted cos it was redundant and replaced by a newer one. The problem with that is.....????
i have just been talking to the person who put the post up.. she now thinks she is in trouble for putting the same post up again...could you not just delete the old post bluexxx without the bit going under the post you leave on.. this person is a genuine member and i think this site would lose a fantastic member if she is afraid to post again. i am not after an argument bluexxx just putting my thoughts down.

It is polite of us to tell people why we have deleted their posts. Imagine you posted something and it just disappeared, no explanation, nothing. Wouldn't you be a bit pissed off and wonder why it had been deleted... don't you think it is polite of moderators to explain thier decisions????

this is true bluexxx. but if they have two posts on and you are deleting one would they realy know you have deleted one. as i say i am not after a shindig bluexxx and do realise you do a great job for no pay. i just had to say about this young lady being upset when i think it could have been avoided. and i will say again keep up the great work all mods do and have a great night sat.

Well, that's not really the issue. The issue is that posting identical threads within a short space of time is considered spamming. Spamming is against the site rules. We tell people when they break the site rules so they don't do it again. How is that a problem?
It is not only polite of us to tell people of the decisions we make, it is also important that users now to abide by the rules. If we just deleted threads that people have forgotten about, they'll just go on posting more threads that they will forget about and we will be forever tidying up after them and their identical threads. It isn't on - Jennaj now knows not to spam the board. Problem solved.

hi redhot. no i do not hold a grudge against you or anybody. as i said at the beginin, i did not come on here for an argument and already stated the mods do a great job. i am truly sorry this turned out this way but it upsets me when i see a friend who is a genuine member upset over something i thought could have easly been avoided. i understand bluexxx points and also jags. but when i see all the crap the one post p-ss heads put on and get away with then i had to say i think it could be done better. i am sorry if this upsets people, but that was not what i was trying to do.

Where on this thread have I not been polite? All I have done is explain the procedure we use in these situations, and what jennaj should do if she is really upset. Where are the insults?
