the venue would depend on interest n how many numbers but prob mid october
It's nearly October now. Sorry to butt in, but munches are usually arranged weeks and weeks in advance to give people maximum opportunity to sort out hotels and the like... are you sure you're experienced enough to do this?
Sheffield or Leeds, I suppose its your choice, im sure people will travel

i think a Yorkshire Munch is a great idea. Leeds/Sheffield/York, wherever.
As others have mentioned there are a good few Munches/socials coming up or have just taken place and a Munch takes a lot of hard work and time to organise.
I would advise you to contact other Munch organisers and glean as much info from them as possible.
You might want to consider a date later in the year??
Get your date and venue sorted then see how many people would be interested. Lots of us have family and work commitments (never mind the financial stuff) so can't commit to something without an idea of when and where.
Good luck!
Would be a great idea to host a munch in yorkshire in the future and if you need
any help just ask.
Regards
Becky and Michael
biggrin :D :D
Whats wrong with them organising a mini munch so they can get a bit of experience. I would certainly like to attend. best of luck with it.
I would certainly be up for a Yorkshire Munch if it was organised properly and with enough notice, and if it doesn't clash with something else I've got on! As there are lots of things being organised at the mo,including other munches and parties, to get a maximum amount of people attending you need to give us all a few weeks notice and to pick a date that doesn't clash! Other than that, good luck!
yes go for it good luck and count me in if you sort it if not now try later leeds needs a munch so go go go good luck andy

Leeds/Sheffield/York, wherever.

Can I take that back? My vote is for Leeds - purely selfish reasons of course; I might have somewhere to stay without forking out for a hotel!

Please let u know if you have any further information on this munch. I realise they are not easy things to get up and running but i'm sure many people would be willing to help if asked.

I had the same problem, i asked to attend both the Notts and the NE munches but without success. There is always room for more if organised in advance.
Re the above two posts .........
if you read the Nottingham Munch thread thoroughly you will see that there are rules about who attends ... basically anyone who joined the site after a certain date is asked to wait until they are well established on the site or possibly can provide verification as to their authenticity.
The swinging lifestyle attracts all sorts of low life (no assumption that either of you are) which can mean anyone from a pervert, or idiot to undercover reporters. As we are all normal people and many do a lot to protect their anonimity I'm sure you can appreciate the organisers wanting to protect that.
if you have problems with this then I personally would suggest approaching either the organisers of the Munch in question or a Moderator ... Steveg_nw is probably the best person. Placing such comments on a public board is insensitive to both organisers and the people who trust them to have safeguards in place.

Callista we do understand the prob's with perv's and all that, but we know one of the couples going to the notts munch and they did ask for us aswell.
So if that dose not count for our authenticity i don't know what will.
Please understand that i'm not trying to be nasty but it is on our doorstep "notts" and it is a pitty we could not go and meet people into the same things that we are.
I missed out last night on the North East Munch because im new too and as a single man i expect it to be even harder for me to get an invite.
I am lucky enough to be going to the butlins and to the banquet munches tho, thanks to (Essexlady and Steve respectively) have you asked about those?

nooo theres no bar on single males at munches at all. it's purely a matter of how long you've been on site and established some credentials, for obvious reasons. lots of single guys go to munches, and they are just as likely to get an invite as anyone else.
