Thanks for the clarification, Jags... actually I meant that in general the cammers have low post counts and the people with higher post counts tend to be more negative, I wouldn't want to put words into anyone's mouth!
I guess I could have made that clearer - however the effect is the same, I'm in favour of positive action, and glad that the matter is being looked into smile

I've got to comment on this one lol

:lol: - we have 10 to 20 threads a day with "I'm on cam watch me wank!", then the nice mods arrange a thread so that all the camming peeps can find each other easyier and have their fun - and what happens? 3 people all day!!! :lol: :lol:

There are those of us that like it though, that's the thing. Legit people who participate in the forums, people who have ads in the photo ads, people genuinely interested in this lifestyle, even if we're only dipping a toe in at the mo.
As i said before, we should have a section for it, as a trial, but it should be modded strictly. OR, maybe a new section in the photo ads? Would that be better? SURE, there are other sites for meeting people to cam with, but we, for one (well, two, but it doesn't sound right when said) are interested in more than just camming. It's along the same lines at least.
Camming's not just about having a wank while reading what someone would like to do to you. There's the aspect of a couple performing for an individual, or vice versa.
To be honest, with some of the muppets posting wanting to cam, i can understand those who want to get rid of anything to do with it, but think about the sensible regular users who do like to have some fun over the electric interweb.
There's some right plonkers in the dogging section too, but we don't close it down, we get shot of the plonkers. The same should be done here, i reckon. Give it its own section, on trial, either in the forum or in photo ads. Go on. smile

I know I am a recently new user but I am not in favour of webcams in this site because it is a good way for sad little perverts to get their thrill as and when rquired!!! I think you should just recommend a few good sites for webcamming if you can do that and thats it.

I trust you don't mean us, by sad little perverts, and that you mean the strew of one-post wonders we've collected in recent weeks. smile

As for recommending a few sites, why spread us about? We're all fairly like (open?) minded here. Some of us are taking our first steps, some of us are more experienced, but we are all interested in swinging etc. If the forum can facilitate those after phone sex, why not those after camming fun?

I absolutely agree that banning all talk of camming will stop a lot of idiots on here, but we've already discussed a few possible solutions that won't leave out those in favour of it.
Here's another one.
How about having a section of the board that's only visible to those with so many posts, or only accessible to those who apply to be in the usergroup? Make general chat open to everyone, and make the other sections for people with 30 or 50 posts or more. It'll encourage people to participate in the forums, and to be honest, 50 posts ain't all that much. Across the message boards i'm a member of, i must have >5000 posts, in only a few years. 50 is nothing, and it'll weed out those that are interested in the community, and get shot of those that are interested in a quick wank.

This is in theory a good idea, but I suspect it would just encourage people to post any old rubbish, purely to increase their post count. As several of us have pointed out previously, there is already an element of that here in the forum.

In my opinion that is over-complicated with too many 'what ifs'
I feel the simplest way to deal with the Cam issue is too dedicate an entie area to it just like there is with dogging & lets meet up & the cafe.

It's easier to ban someone for spamming to get their post count up than it is to ban them for "a bit of a rubbish advert". smile

If we go the user group path, then a mod or admin has to approve their application. They can then look at their post history, and decide if the person has actually participated in the forum or posted "lol" 50 times. This would benefit both "let's meet up" and the dogging section, both of which get abused.

I agree 100% there is nothing wrong with wanna shag posts, but the real point is, are these posts affecting the majority of other users enjoyment of the message board? If it then something needs to be done - the post count idea seems decent but may lead to huge amounts of spamming.
Doesn't bother me in the least but then again i haven't been here long.
To me i just find it amazing people that people really think one line efforts are going to work!

I think it's the droves of them that have been posting messages like that, and never returning to the forum again. Treating the place like a one-stop fuck shop. Posting their ads all over the place. They find the site, post a boring half-hearted ad within 5 minutes, and then complain that they get no interest. Like there should be 10 women fighting over them just because they're a "fit male" and "wanking on cam NOW!". It's pathetic.

I agree with everything you say, and yet I cannot see any way they will ever be stopped. All the one-post chancers soon learn that their posts are largely ignored, and once they slip off the bottom of the first page they and their posts are probably never seen again. It's only the occasional ones who get indignant about the lack of response, and when they become the target for a bit of sarcasm from some regulars, that does provide a bit of amusement. We could write loads of advice posts for single guys like Roger743's and Marcuso's, but they either don't, or can't read!
Ah, just imagine how much higher the tone of the "Let's Meet Up" section would be if every post was sensible!

I wonder if there actually is a cam subculture here, and the anonymity means that 1 liners do actually work within it?
After all, the equally disparaged 'one line and a cock shot' seems to work in the men for men photo ads.

After 3pages of posts, it still looks as if there's no real majority vote, and seeing as the mods don't seem overly keen on the whole cam-thing, why doesn't someone just recommend a decent free site, that'll let the cammers get together and have all the fun they want?!?
I've had a search for these elusive cam-sites that the mods have mentioned on a few of their posts, but i'm buggered if i can track down a single one, that's not some dodgy rip-off... it's like tryina find a decent swinging site, that doesn't charge you to reply to an ad (i'd worked thru a good few ripoffs before i happened upon SH, as i'm sure many of the other satisfied swingers of this site had)
so, if the mods seriously DO know of somewhere that'd be perfect for all the cam-fiends to run off to...... then..... erm..... WHY THE F?CK NOT LET THEM KNOW WHERE IT IS?!??!!?!?

Answer me one question..... why should we find you free cam sites?
Personally, I don't care what people do when they're not on this site, and as long as they abide by the rules while they are using SH I am happy. If people want to use SH to cam, fine... but they must post their ad in the relevant thread... that thread is the result of other users complaining about this forum being taken over by cam posts......
So..... if you want to cam if is up to you to find a site you like, it is nothing to do with me or any of the other mods.

the new Cammers stickypost, i'm sure, is a delight to all the cammers.. and if it stays, i can't see why anyone should have any probs. only at the beginning of this post, it was insinuated that this was just some kinda trial. in which case, if it stops, the cammers will just end up endlessly blocking up these forums again.
i wasn't asking anyone to personally go out and find a site for them, i was more assuming that someone out there reading this thread already knew of a site.. i think steveg_nw mentioned the existence of some dedicated sites, i was just trying to say that if a url to one of these sites was posted, you could clear yourselves of the hassles of cammers.
