Morning all so sat here recovering from another amazing cov social. Thinking about what our best memories are we have only been to 3 so not yet a veteran.

The memory that always comes to mind is. Arriving on the Friday as we were making the most of having no kids. We had never met anyone who was going before. So a little nervous as we have only talked in chat and cam through Covid. Instantly people looking at us like is it Lou & Mac? is it not ? outside the hotel. Then we’re greeted by Liam shouting lou & Mac down through the entrance. 😂

We spent the whole evening sat out on a grass mound as it was so hot in the hotel getting to know everyone. Everyone there was so welcoming like we had known them all forever.

What’s your first or memorable experience from going to Cov social?

Some of my best memories so cant be put on the forum 🤣🤣🤣 Tho i will say i have met some brilliant fun people over the years. Some have evolved into really good friends. The fact that we are like minded and dont judge each other counts for a lot. This is what socials are about for me meeting and making freinds. I have one memory of sitting in the hotel room on a friday with several friends listening and watching them chatting feeling right relaxed and at home in their company. Pure Gold.

I'm not sure how many of the actual individual things I can share (like Loz says!) but I will say that from the very first one I went to, I had that great feeling of "These are my people" you get when you're in the right place smile

We’ve not been to one yet, but excited at prospect of meeting people on the next one

You will love it everyone will make you feel so welcome

For me it's more about how it's changed since Loz took over. For many years whilst I loved meeting old friends at Coventry, I hated the actual social mainly because of the music and vibe (I really hate cheesy music).

Now it's run properly, the vibe has improved massively, as has the music (any DJ that will play my fave song - Touch Me I'm Sick by Mudhoney - is alright in my books).

Plus it's now run with profits going to charity & we're supporting the venue with our regular custom, all of which resonates deeply with my morality.

The last social at Coventry was probably the most fun I'd had, mainly due to the people who were there. Now I look forward to the whole event and can't wait for the next one.

Kudos to Loz et al who make it a brilliant weekend.

We are quite fortunate we have only been since loz has been organising it so it’s been amazing every time

Jesus how long ya got ,,, probably the schools out summer one where we played games in garden as the sun was setting

Happy days 😈

I think each one gets better to be honest. I definitely feel like I have made some brilliant (and damn sexy!) friends along the way and had some of the best times of my life. Lots of laughs, that's for sure! Like Lap says.. you lot are my people; many of you helped me through lockdown and I can't imagine not having a Cov to look forward to. 😊

There’s not just one, it’s making the most amazing friends at them and enjoying everyone getting dressed up and letting their hair down.

We havent been going for that long, i think this last one was our fourth. and already so many memories, and difficult to pick a single one out !

Loz has been the organiser in the time we have been going, and does an amazing job, of trying to keep us all in order, and organised !

Only been to 1 (So far)

Met so many nice people.. didnt make me feel like an outsider.

Be there in October!!

It’s great how welcoming everyone is made to feel it’s like u have known everyone for ages

We have been going to Cov for over ten years now. While we love it still, some of the early memories linger on.

Imagine A Rocky Horror themed Halloween. Everybody dressed up for it. Personally, I was dressed up as Rocky, Gold Wig, Gold Lame wrestler shorts, Gold DMs then all covered in toilet paper for bandages like a mummy.

At the end of a great night we ended up having to walk back to the hotel. Dressed exactly in next to nothing at 1am.

A cop car draws up next to us. Puts on his blues and twos very briefly. We could see him laughing away inside the cop car. Glad he could see the funny side anyway.

Keep them coming gang
