Bikers!! Rock & Blues Custom Show - Derbys 27th-30th Jul

Does anyone fancy it? lol

I'm off to the Rock & Blues (cutom bike show) again this year and wondered if anyone here fancies coming? I already have my ticket so this is just to put the feelers out - but I'm happy to organise if there's a few folk who fancy pitching their tents in our own little SH camp corner!
You dont need to be a biker, or own a bike, but I would assume that anyone coming would be doing so for the love of the machines and the music and not with the expectation of it being a free for all swinging weekend wink

You would of course, get to meet more people with "similar interests" :lol: and have a bloody good laugh. What happens in your own tents, happens :wink:
It is a 'family friendly' event although with the noise and sheer volume of people & beer tents, I wouldnt recommend it, nor would i recommend bringing children along to 'this' as an organised SH meet. If you wanna bring the kids, make plans to pitch seperately please.
Last year was a complete mud bath, it pissed it down for 2 days and the entire site was a quagmire - great fun, but not ideal if ya dont fancy roughing it for a couple of nights or dressing in your scruffs :lol: I can provide local hotel details etc if you're nesh :lol:
I have a large 8 man tent, I'll be pitching on the Thursday but probably not 'there' til the Friday. There is a website if you want to pm me for the link and advance tickets are Â£35 for the weekend (cars/vans parking extra - bikes & trikes free) - it costs the same wether you stay all weekend or just come for one night. Tickets are available now, you're responsible for sorting that bit yourself, I'll do the rest biggrin

in edit : Some bands confirmed, headliners tba soon but they usually do it right at the last minute! To give you a guide, last years headliners were the Aussie Pink Flloyd Experience ( and fook they were good!) and Thunder and Blackfoot who were superb. Live music all day & night in the Cross Pistons Saloon plus main stage from lunchtime. There's loads of burger vans etc - but as usual they are pricey. Disposable BBQ's are permitted and 8 of us managed nicely with one of those last year :wink:

I'll be there with my little tent, I can't wait I hope the weather stays nice. The Aussie floyd were so good I'm going seeing them again at the end of this month. The Damned brought back memories from my punk rocker days, they still rock. see you there,,,,,,Andy,,,,

The cheek!!! I'm very proud of my helmet, here is a picture of it.
Dmanit Ive had my cycle helmet for so long its antique and I cant find any images of it on the net :cry:

unfortunately I am not going to the blues however I am going to two small meets in wrexham at the end of june and july my 1st ever rallies and I am looking forward to it so much. Bit nervous maily hoping I dont look a twat when I cant put my tent upright etc............ :shock: anyway have fun all bye for now

:lol: :lol: , i wouldnt worry about it hun, last year there were 8 of us, in torrential rain, attempting to put up one of these 12 man 3 bedroomed tents. instructions blew away, everything was soaking wet and by the time we'd actually sorted it and got the top sheet on we kind looked round and discovered that a whole campsite of several thousand people had appeared and set up around us rotflmao

some lovely bikers bought us a crate of beer over as a thankyou for the most entertaining morning they'd had in ages redface

Brings back memories of trying to pack a tent away after the George To The Dragon rally a few years ago. Force 10 bleedin gale, gave up in the end and dumped it into the boot of the car as it was rolleyes

I remember the first year I went we were singing hear it is merry christmas in the middle of the summer. The hole crowed was going for it. such a good vibe.
Not going this year just the Farmyard in Yorkshire this weekend and then the Bulldog Bash.

I am scrimping and scraping the pennies to get to Bulldog..... but its looking unlikey :cry:
there's 10 of us so far gonna meet up for drinks/ food and laughs at R&B on the Friday, but I'm now camping with vanilla biker mates - that said, if anyone wants to have that SH camp corner, pm me please wink

I'll leave it this year but i'm gona arrange my motorcycle training and tests etc in the next few weeks as i've finally decided to go do it. But got to get my crash hat etc. tommorrow.
If there are any other similar events after i will most likely go.
Cant wait now.
