The venue is booked and will comfortably hold 110 people, the guest list for my 'doo' is on a first-come first served basis, with a reserve list if necessary, and is aimed at those of you who would like to come celebrate with me .................There are already over 90 people on the list so dont faff about if you want to be there!
and, in collaboration with the one and only Marcuso , there’s an after-party too !!!!!!! :twisted: (more info on this nearer the time)
If you’d like to come help me celebrate, well, you know the drill! There will be people there who are not members of this site but many of whom will be familiar names/faces and all are known by me. :wink:
To be eligible to attend you must be known to either myself or Marcuso, or have someone we know willing to vouch for you ........ :rules:
and I will review all invites nearer to the time.
As there will be a 'no-obligation private afters-party' in someone's home , these rules are to ensure the safety of everyone attending.
There’s no ‘entrance fee’, but I will be passing a glass round for voluntary contributions toward the cost of the room hire, DJ and food, but this is entirely up to you
If anyone requires hotel details please pm me and I’ll send them out to you. As usual, actual venue details, taxi numbers etc will be sent out a couple of days before the event, by pm only.

As the theme for this do is decadence and debauchery, i was wondering.
Im fine on the debauchery bit, especially as you are going to be around.
However, im finding it rather difficult to establish just how im going to do the decadence part.....in other words, i need assistance with being decadent, and would appreciate your assistance thereto. :shock:
Seeing as youve probably got nowt else to do between now and the do.

) I'm thinking along the lines of clothing/ image/ appearance and attitude and literally being luxurious and indulging yourself and your senses. So, how's about a silk(y) shirt? silk tie? (always useful for later :rascal: ) velvet/ brocade jacket? go posh and come in a dinner jacket/ tux :twisted: you could go the whole 9 yards and dress up as a highway man......breeches and boots type stuff :twisted: or a much simpler way..... .new bottle of fave aftershave..... new bottle of expensive aftershave (or if you're a skinflint, go to one of the perfume counters in Debehams and ask for a 1.5 ml tester vial
) ....wear leather shoes instead of trainers..... have a manicure/ facial on Friday ..... - on top of the self-indulgence side of decadence, and for the ladies you could also look at gothic or renaissance fashion, think Daniel Defoe's Moll Flanders...... Agent Provocateur.....Dita Von Teese.....baroque.....burlesque (google em if you're still stuck :giggle
the easiest way I guess is to do a particular material or colour - purple or black silky shirt for example, or a heavy black velvet jacket/ waistcoat/ silk tie (definately worth a hunt round some charity shops/ ebay etc) - it isnt meant to be full on fancy dress, just something a little out of the ordinary :wink:

‘dressing up’ is entirely optional of course – but I’m thinking this could be a great excuse to dig out (or treat yourself to) sensual fabrics – velvet, silks, satin, cashmere, leather…. maybe even cocktail dresses & dapper dinner jackets … cleavages and corsets..... Jewel like colours – golds, reds, purples, greens…....
for those who dont want to go the whole hog, be decadent & wear scarlett lipstick....or a corsage.... heady perfumes…..swathes of heels…...pashminas.....silk scarves....velvet chokers....sparkles.....glitter....sequins........ you get the idea! :lol2:
Even something as simple as treating yourself to a lovely long relaxing soak with your favourite bubble bath (or Lush stuff :lol: ) before the ‘doo’ instead of a quick shower !! there’s something for everyone in this theme !! Indulgence is the key!! Got a fave perfume?? get the body lotion too!.....get your other half to promise you a massage back at the hotel.....wear false nails and paint em scarlett.... treat yourself to some gorgeous lingerie..... if anyone's really stuck for ideas, pm me - but I'm sure no one needs an excuse to be totally self-indulgent for just one evening! :wink:
