Bristol Christmas social/party? 4th December

Hi all
Did say it would be nice to do a little something pre Christmas though I dont have the energy to do anything huge. So if you can vote and give me your thoughts so I can see what interest there is that would be great.
Option 1: Pub social in a private room near Bristol centre holding around 40 people maybe 50 pushing it! Need to take another look been years since Ive seen it. This is use of a private room but the toilets and bar are shared so no name badges. background music and maybe a buffet. Lot more chilled than the Munch was. Maybe a small cost pre head if buffet provided. I have already reserved this location just in case :thumbup:
Option 2: Bristols premier piss up night out. Mixed venue entertainment music blah blah. Food and cheap entry drinks optional at extra cost We would be grouped on a table but you will have vanillas present. Think this costs around £5 per person for standard entry and would require organization pretty quickly as its bound to be busy that time of year.
Option 3: Lack of interest, I do nothing or something much smaller like a bar crawl round Bristol lol

whatever Mrs Tweeky and I will be doing something on the 4th even if its just us biggrin

Realize this clash's with Wigan munch, sorry NWC but this is the only weekend we can do and we cant get to Wigan due to pesky kids :lol: So maybe this suits some more local folk.
Priority will go first of all to those who attended the Munch in Bristol especially any of those who helped out :D This is not a sign up thread! If we do hold this event a new thread will be made.

got a stag weekend that weekend as much as i would love to attend again!! the stag weekend does happen to be in bristol so look out for 18 drunken men if it does go ahead lol

well done for taking on the role of organising again,
we would be interested in whatever plans you make, the use of the private room in the bar sounds better though, and we will be sorting out a sitter for that weekend now!!

Option one sounds like a tidy idea - a Christmas nite out and with the numbers would make it easier to chat and put names to faces and try to drink the bar dry again lol

All of it sounds good to us as we really enjoyed the last one and would love to meet up with all those perverted reprobates again!
I like the sound of option 1, as it would mean fewer odd looks with any pervy activity, and I'm crap at names n faces, so I'd be likely to saunter over to a complete random and start talking to the like they were one of the crowd!
Her likes the sounds of option 2 (admittedly so do I, as we both love clubbing!) cos she has a feeling she knows where you're talking about lol

All that said, we're close enough to do option 3 as well, so count us in whatever happens - unless other Crimble commitments get in the way of course!

The option 2 is available anytime as is option 1 really lol

I think option 1 has the advantage of being not so busy due to the time of the year. We could as you so rightly say do both on different occasions and in that respect option 2 could be done in February for example and still be viable. Would seem that option 1 is the strong fave so far but ignore the vote as people commented but did not vote and there were a few PM's
I/we are up for putting on fairly regular events in Bristol and we dont mind if they take on various shapes and forms. I have sent some mails to various places about events and have some other ideas cooking too. Quite happy to admit also that the reason we do this is so that we actually have something to do or attend in the swinging world as we basically can not get away from Bristol :thumbup:

With it being so near Christmas - if peeps wanna save some money, we're happy to accommodate people we've at least chatted to. We can manage 5 in beds but then probably another 4 on airbeds so 9 people in total (it's a fairly big house)
We're a couple of miles away from the city centre, on the junction of the M4/M5 and right near one of the major train stations in Bristol so we're accessible.
If it'll make it cheaper for people to come then we're happy to do it.
Oh, we do a mean fry up in the morning too wink

Ok im going to look arouund for some cheap accomodation options as well maybe large house hire.. The marriott was fab but bit expensive right on xmas .
ps Ill even make sandwiches lol
