About a date, was thinking September so that everyone's had their holidays ... prob 25th as there is a munch in Bristol earlier in the month and some people travel for them ... dont want everyone to be all munched out!!!
There will be a small cost involved per head to cover costs but I should have that all worked out by the time I can confirm everything and do a proper invite thread.

ok addd me in for a place and could u send me the names of some the way i dont realy know the people who are coming to the munch so will u all say hallo to me when i arrive. im a very sociable scots been to the wigan munches and also a few in leeds so i know all about them

This thread was just to see if anyone was interested but it would seem that people are!!
I am in the process of sorting it all out .... When I have arranged the venue, etc ... I will put another thread on where you will have to put your name down. When people are confirmed, I will then send out PM's to everyone with local information (hotels, taxi's, etc) as well as details of the venue.
I will organise someone to greet people when they arrive ... I understand its not nice walking into somewhere alone when you dont know anyone but I'm guessing that most people will be in the same position, at least for the first one anyway.

Funlovers, really gutted that we wont be able to come along to the munch as it is during our holidays but just want to say good on your for organising this. I am sure it will be a brilliant night and hopefully, the first of many you arrange

Sorry but we can't really do it any sooner ... more people are away over the summer months and we already have a party to organise, never mind jobs and kids ...
I'd rather take my time and do it right than rush it and never do it again.

We used to organise a pub meet at Cheshire Oaks some time ago and eventually up to 40 couples attended.
It was an easy going affair, turn up if you want, if you get cold feet, make other plans or just have second thoughts, no problem as we held them most months.
They take some organising, can be frustrating and not always initially successful but if held on a regular basis people tend to show up.
Always expect about a 50% drop out, I'm sure some people on the site can remember our pub meets, its nice to put faces to names in a non pressure environment.

funlovers you can put my name if you dont mind some one stoke turning up.
We were also one of the couples that went to the munches in cheshire oaks, they were good fun, and a way of making contacts for other times, had a laugh as well, we made some friends, and my wife did actually get a part time job for when she was doing her nurse training as well from the people we met, we have both been very quiet in the scene really now for a year or two, but as long as we are both fit and well, I'm sure we would love to come along as well to meet some old and new faces, John and Jo x
