Always be upfront about what you really want from this...... I assume (and females and couples will too...) that you arent just after coffee and cakes! Its better to state your ideal outcome but be clear that there is no obligation or pressure at first meet.

Seriously though Gareth, I don't think Frasers comments were aimed at you personally but more in general? there are plenty of manthangs using 'patter' that if you look through it is just an misaligned effort to get into a gurls knickers ( I don't wear them btw..thought I'd mention it for the second time ) as in always best to up front on what you really want/expect and whilst your post and the intentions contained within it may be honourable enough there are many others that are not quite so on the level which can sometimes lead to an uncomfortable hook up.

I've noticed some people jump on here and quick to throw the accusational dagger when it's purely harmless. That's the trouble with texts / technology (typing etc), there's no voice tone to prove it wasn't meant the way you read it personally.

Sorry if you have taken offence, my advice was intended to help you achieve your aims whatever they may be....kinda constructive
Didnt actually post any opinion on you, just suggesting you may want to add a little more as 'coffee and a chat' is pretty open..... for example: indicating what you want to chat about and what are interests are as this is more likely to get you a response from the kind of people you are interested in meeting too aswell as convincing them you are actually genuine about having a no obligation meet to chat about those interests.
Little confused as to why you would assume from my post that I am offering anything other than support for your aims but If you choose to discount my post as 'Tutorial for underhanded way to get kicks' then you have seriously misjudged me, honesty is always the best policy - only ever managed to sneak into toot's knickers and thats because she left her front door unlocked when she nipped into town - I dont know if she told you but she doesnt wear them :lol:
All the best in finding what you want, if you dont want people voicing their opinions or offering advice then perhaps adverts are a better route for you than an open forum, users are entitled to (and usually do) respond however they like within the site rules
