our first Southend social and definitely not our last, it was a blast
some bright spark suggested a walk along the pier :doh: bad mistake!! but didn't stop us having a wonderful weekend catching up with friends, just gutted I couldn't dance or mingle
Thanks to Karen for putting so much effort into organising such a great weekend and thanks for our prezzie, we will put it to good use
also thanks to everyone who signed the engagement card and gave us their good wishes

I've said this several times and I'll say it again: years ago (2004-2007) the Bristol social was the one not to miss, but now that mantle is firmly with Southend, and it's all down to the tireless work of Karen. The evening itself is just one big laugh, set up by Karen and carried out by all who attend.
But Karen also sorts out Friday night too, and ensures we all have somewhere to go and something to do.
When you add in BronzeAbs sorting out discounts on the hotel (thanks again), and the 'usual suspects' creating mischief, it all adds up to probably the most fun you can have with some of your clothes on.
It's all about quality over quantity.
