I hear that Mal is trying to flog his second best skateboard. With an easterly wind over the Mendips, and five packets of Strawberry flavour pop tarts, I calculate if you set off now you could be here by March 28th.
Failing that, Midland Mainline do specials if you book in advance... AND you get a complimentary coffee!
We're starting early in the afternoon... and the fast train gets to London Bridge in 18 minutes - three stops on the tube and you're in St. Pancras... If you left us at 7pm you'd still be home in time for the epilogue.
What's the excuse, now, Alex? wink

Oh what a shame I am off to Spain that day and cannot join you all. Me and Letsflirt ( our ad is 53483) have been to the London Munch, NW Munch and Mids munch. All have been great fun - no worries for those of you who want to go alone or who are new to this. Everyone is very friendly and its a great way to meet genuine people. Have a great time !!!! Hotels in central Croydon are quite expensive.
Anyone wishing to look into the possibility should research "Jurys Inn".
But it has to be said nipping off to a hotel room is NOT the purpose of this gathering (but we can't stop you! :twisted: )
And Chat Room folks mean nothing to me as I'm shit scared of Chat Rooms and never go near them. :shock: :shock:

Well we werent planning on getting a hotel as we live close(ish).. but if that appears to be the current trend well then i guess ill be giving it a re-think.

Just to inform everyone, I'm planning on hopping on a 410 bus for a night of Zzzz!! I've got to be up next morning to go off on another wee expedition.
I've had a wee skinny and I can't find anything other than Jurys Inn that is within reasonable distance of where we'll be. Croydon being the home of the Home Office Immigration Centre, almost all reasonably priced B&Bs will be booked up with assylum seekers. You may be lucky and find something... but instinct tells me you'd have to look quite far afield.
If anyone DOES find anything local, please also post to this thread... Perhaps it would be better to invite PMs from interested parties for details?

Hello all,
I have stayed at a hotel opposite the entrance to the Jury Inn. I have also stayed at the Jury Inn. As I am not at work today, I cannot give you the name of the hotel, but I reckon it was better valve, because it included breakfast and access to the health club on premises. Don't know if anyone staying will need either.
If no one finds it before I return to work next week, I will post the name then.
Had to get my holidays in before the end of March, or lose it.
