hi, it's a taxi ride away but we live down the road from 2 hotels, the hilton and the aerodrome hotel, and i don't think they're too expensive, but will ring and enquire and let you all know! having said that, b&b is probaly better isn't it?
how early is early in the afternoon? or do i have to wait for the pm?
am looking forward to it, sound like a lot people will be turning up!

it seems half of croydon is coming out the woodworks!!
was meant to be at work but am gonna have to re-arrange..
i wouldn't miss this for all the trams in croydon!

Keeping you updated....
I'm intending to start the gathering at 1pm - for the benefit of folks having to leave early.
We shall be touring around Croydon's more scenic parts... avoiding the underpass and the revolving toilets outside the Imigration Centre.
The other hotel one person spoke of is called The Fairfield... I forgot that one. redface

Eventually, we shall end our day at chucking out time.... So.... even if you can't get there til 10pm you should still have time to say Hi.

Heather the wife and I are relatively new to the site and we love some of the threads -
how to stop your bread dropping etc. We will try and get there although it very much depends on the start time. Let us know nearer the time and we will let you know in advance if we can make it.

there is a chat meet in the area the same weekend if the antics of the chat room are anything to go by then you lot may have a run for your money lol
will be in croydon that weekend dont think wife is keen on the idea :cry:

those who are looking for an unusual place to stay in the croydon area are recommeded to the hotel at the old croydon airdrome or something like that - Â£5 in a cab from town centre - on the main A-road
