derby, wed sept 7th or 14th social anyone ????

would there be anyone out there interested in a social night for SH members in the east mids ?
i've been to the manchesters ones and really enjoyed it but would like to do it in the mids.
anyone got any ideas and let me know if its worth it or not.

not sure yet steph but i'd say either derby or notts on a wed or thurs night, whichever has the best response really. i know the manchester onees are very succesfull and are held quite regular. i'll see if anyone else shows an interest.

i've had a fair few pm's now so its looking like derby is the best venue, anymore takers and i can arrange a date ??

We live in Derby and would be interested but midweek is a real no no as Morbius works Weds Evening and so i'd need to have the kids :cry: :cry: :cry:

Problem is, if people want to drink then it has to be a friday or sat as thats when the late busses run to outlying places such as Ilkeston ;-) and I'm guessing most other places that barton/trent service.
Derby doesnt have a late bus!
Could be worse tho... could be Norfolk where the last bus and train from yarmoth or norwich is about 10:30 every blody night including the weekend.
Hey we could hold it in Ilkeston... if you cant get a bus then you're all more than welcome to crash in my house lol

sounds good, there are lots of us in notts/derby now, might be a little difficult for shift workers but given notice we should be able to sort something xx

From a purely selfish viewpoint, I'd vote Nottingham as that's where I live. I could drive to Derby (hell, I could cycle if I were feeling really game) but I'd have to do without drink which would be a lot less fun. However, I'm a bit of an armchair SH member so my vote counts a lot less than the active regulars. I'm not bothered what night - my social calendar is uncluttered (cough) at the mo.
If the vote's for Derby or Ilkeston (definitely within biking range) I'd still try to get along.

The best pub is probably going to either be a "rock" pub, or a gay bar... both are far more toerant of us strange people...
I do know that the bar opersite drinks in there :-) or we need to go for one of the very large pubs which are kind of set into areas.
