great news,
ill pm you devon1 to ensure my name gets on this list.
thank you for taking the time to organise this.
looking forward to meeting all of those who manage to attend.
hopefully now we have a date this could be made a sticky by one of the mods?
understand its not such a big organised event as a munch, but big trees from little acorns grow and all that, so heres hoping it recives the support with attendies to make this a regular thing.

ps, if any one in cornwall would like to discuss sharing a lift if they have no transport give me a shout and well see what can be done .
Just wondered if this is a booking in a private room of a pub?....only living in Exeter I know only too well just how packed EVERY Exeter pub is on Saturday nights.
Might be difficult to expect to find seats in any Exeter pub on a Saturday night...being a University City and all that.
Do have to ask if it therefore wise making the meet on a Saturday night?
Invisage everyone turning up to a completely packed pub and not being able to sit together...which is needed for a social meet.
well done devon 1 i will definatley be there to show support and meet some of you guys i have a 8 seater if lifts are needed anything i can do just give me a shout
were slipping down the list,
any chance of this being made a sticky?

i dont agree with plymouth logistics and all that, exeter is near as damn it half way between bristol and penzance 82 miles to bristol 102 to penzance, pretty central to the south west, but move it to bristol and all of a sudden swindon is nearer than plym, outh, we will support it all we can and be there, but bristol is too far
at last something happening in this part of the world. good for you dev. i would definately like to attend and put some faces to names. always good meeting new people. plymouth gets my vote by the way....cornwall people are right in that it is a bummer getting anywhere.
Perhaps I can offer a few pointers regarding premises for munches/Club Meets.
Finding a stand alone function room on a Friday or Saturday would prove to be most difficult in places like Exeter...Plymouth...or Bristol.
I say this from experience of holding Couples events in the Southwest for the last Eighteen months, one of the major obstacles for us has been finding premises on weekends. Even renting a small club in Exeter on a Thursday is nearly Two Hundred Pounds...and that's without paying for security doormen and DJ for the night.
So the best way to go is to just find a pub that is a bit quieter on a weekend, they do exist in some places (Not in Exeter due to the large University)
We have in the past used a public Pub disco in South Devon that is open once a month, it was ideal for mixed nights and because it was a low key country pub disco we never all stood out like sore thumbs!
We will make ever effort to attend the munch, Plymouth sounds a good place to hold it.
We are out of the country soon for a month but will be most interested in coming along.

im coming but i am new to exeter and never been to plymouth so need help getting there.
So is it allowable to bring a couple who do not have internet access and can not access SH?
I know of such a couple and I'd like to drag them along...
Misspussinboots is right i am afraid, have chatted to the mods about this. Its a case of we know who should be there. If all goes well, and we get to know one another better, then who knows for another time. Another thing is, we have to keep an eye on numbers, at the moment we have a good number, and mix of people, which is ideal for the venue.
