What a wonderful part of South West London!
I'm so happy here
I hope you're all as happy with your neighbourhoods. Have a great weekend xx
ok would you care to elaberate?
I could go on for hours...but it's pub o'clock!
I've lived in Earlsfield for nearly five years, and I'm rather fond of it... Why do you like it so much then, Forest, and are you a girl or a chap?
-James
Okay... back from pub(s) now...
At the risk of letting the beer talk, I'm still in love with the place. Beautiful people and a good starting point for a great night out. I only hope your Saturdays are at least half as good as mine!
James, your five years put my two and a half to shame! In answer to your other question, I'm the fella half of a couple.
I love you all... you're my best mate, you are! Sweet dreams...

congratulations on your new found home, thats surely is a rarity in itself living in a nice place in the uk.... most of it is going down the luck to you.
Irony, no...smug, perhaps.
I agree. We seem to have more than our fair share of great people here, but the pubs help!
Im an Earlsfielder as well. Who would have thought Earlsfield was home to so many deviants! I thought that on the whole its a bit quite, just the usual, but it looks like i was wrong. Im going to keep my eye out more and more when im sitting in the beer garden at the leather bottle, or watching the football at the open page, or on the "town" at the puzzle. You have just opened my eyes to a whole load of local possibilities.
Cheers

Mmm... It wasn't really my intention for this post to turn into a local pub review but seeing as we're on the topic, let's not forget Bar366. To my mind, it's the friendliest boozer in Earlsfield. I'm also partial to a pint at The Hope when I'm feeling posh.
Just returned from Tir Na Nog, the Irish pub near Sainsbury's. Good by way of a change but lacking that Ealsfield X-factor!
Keep 'em coming, friends...
Southfields, eh? I always had it down as a two pub town. Maybe things have improved since my last visit. Does the Earl Spencer count as Southfields?
If we're talking about life beyond Earlsfield's borders, then Balham must be worth a mention...Bedford, Exhibit etc...
Anyone know what happenred to The Blue Rooms in Kingston? Looks closed!
I'd be tempted to suggest a "we love Earlsfield" mini-munch evening if I didn't think it would turn into a lads' night out.
Any ideas as to how to market our kinky enclave to the fairer sex always welcome. Do we need to shift the emphasis from boozers to eateries? Chez Bruce, ladies?

Leather Bottle - is that the red one on the corner???
Dx
Can't remember it being red. White to the best of my knowledge...but my colour-recall skills have been known to go haywire after a couple of pints.
It's a big place on Garret Lane. The beer garden even boasts its own French boules pitch!
Insert your own 'asking for balls behind the bar' innuendo here.
Mmm...
Just had an enormous Sunday roast at The Hope. I may have to adjust my profile accordingly to take account of the extra pounds!
Could i be sued under the Trades Descriptions Act if I still described myself as athletic build?
Has anybody tried the Leather bottle in its new incarnation? I quite like it. Food was good too... anyone fancy a post Xmas roast?
J xx
