We are thinking about arranging a get together (orgy!!) sometime in easter.
We have been to a couple of parties now that have been held in rented apartment, and we would like to try this ourselves and get some couples, single ladies and men together for some sexy fun and frolics.
We would would be looking for nice, attractive and friendly couples and singles.
At the moment we don't have a location, but it would be somewhere central, plush with hopefully big beds that can get 20 people on them!!!
We reckon in order to get somewhere nice and posh, we would need to charge around £50 a couple, £40 for single males and obviously single ladies are free. A few free drinks and food would be a possiblity, but essentially the majority of the fee would be going towards the cost of the location.
If you would be happy to pay this for a party, please vote and we will look into it if people like the idea.

i voted no, mainly because i wouldnt like to be judged on whether im "hot" enough to attend by someone that doesnt know me. or does know me for that matter!
"vetting" and "applicants" just doesnt make it sound like my kind of thing.
also the price is a bit steap but i understand youd be going for high end accomodation.
finally, im not sure about single females always going for free on stuff like this...im an adult, i can pay my own way

I voted maybe however like sexkitten says above I wouldn't like the thought of bieng judged by whether we we're sexy enough or not by strangers. What you might find sexy - others may not.
I also don't agree with the price. Why couples 50 & single men 40? :shock: Women free

I appreciate your comments regarding the vetting, but rather than it being an elitist process, we mean we would try and get a good 'range' of people. There are certain things we like in people but we do like to think that we would be able to judge what other people like as well and make decisions based on this.
Also with the cost, single girls are very difficult to meet up with (we haven't had any luck yet) so charging them to attend seems the wrong thing to do, although we will consider changing this policy after you comments.

munches only charge people to cover the costs, this actually sounds very much like like a commercial venture..... which is drifting very close to the AUP.....
but I know what the arguement is going to be.. well people are doing it for "club meets" why can't we.. and I think it is something that should be looked at again.....

Its is ok to organise an event for charity provided that you are not making a profit either directly or indirectly, receipts etc must be made available if requested.
Its unacceptable for contributions to be mandatory, so if a social has a charity element included, then all contributions should be voluntary and not form an integral part of the cost for the night. To avoid confusion, this needs to be made clear at the time of posting, together with the exact costs (if any).
I agree this does come close to potential infringement, but I'll leave it open for discussion for now. If a more senior mod comes along that might not be the case though. ;-)

I do agree it does sound like a commercial event, but in order to get somewhere plush and get it ready in time and then clear up the day after it would mean a weekend rental (Saturday morning to Monday morning), which, dependant on the place would be £1000 minimum.
If another mod has the opinion that this breaks site rules please let me know, but I wiould also like to know how to advertise a non commericla event without breaking the rules.

So with such a significant amount of money, what will happen to any profit?
Also, if you don't get the turnout you require for the hire, who will pay for the shortfall, will it be you, or will you be asking those who have made it if they can pay extra?
And if we want to get really pedantic, being a commercial event, what kind of insurances are available?

I think the general consensus is 'No' to paying £50 for an event.
The finer details hadn't been thought about as this is just something we fancied trying as we would have had some sort of control over it. We have been to a couple of parties before, some good, some bad. Organising it ourselves allows us some control over the aspects we didn't like about parties and the parts we did.
The idea wasn't to make any profit, purely to cover costs as a nice venue, drinks and food wouldn't be cheap.
