Just wondering if this beach near Portsmouth is still used and if it is does anyone fancy a meet there Tuesday 2nd June @3pm? I am down on business and thought I might check it out. Weather permitting of course.

What to say about Eastney? Bumpy car park, alley to the beach felt a bit seedy (like you were going somewhere you shouldn't, pebbly beach backed by what I could only describe as a disused concentration camp......
I adored the place, just so different!
I was ill prepared, no towel (water looked inviting), no sun tan cream. The beach was busy but not heaving, mainly men a few couples maybe two women alone who obviously felt quite comfortable, I picked a spot next to one of the big lumps of concrete (possibly groynes) and enjoyed a couple of hours of heaven......
