edinburgh drinks

OK! Let's try again! I tried to organise a night where couples could meet up for drinks in the Edinburgh area a while back and didnt get much response, especially from couples which is really what the main purpose of this is. The socials have stopped and there doesnt seem to ever be a Scotsroom on here and if there is its mostly single guys.
We are really looking to get couples meeting again, socially initially and if folk get on well even better. Apart from that it's a night out! I'm not saying single guys arent welcome, it might be what some couples are looking for although if it is im sure they are not hard to find, its mainly for couples to get together for a drink and hopefully lead to fun and friendship and possibly more nights out!
If you interested in getting something organised let me know and we will try get a venue and time arranged.

Come on folks. Lets get something organised and meet up for drinks and a laugh and get meeting again. Thats why we are on here isnt it???? It just takes one good night and folk will go again to other nights out and you never know we might even get the Scotsroom back up and running!!!! LOL

Good idea but might be easier trying to get the Scots chat going again then try to arrange a drinks luck and well done for trying to revive the Scottish scene on here wink

looks like you prob right about nobody using this site. As far as the chat is concerned anytime i go into it now there is hardly ever a Scotsroom and if there is its mostly single guys. I have even opened one myself on the few occasions i am on nowadays but nobody seems to come in. Its just such a shame when you think back to the fun and banter we all had a few years ago. It all seems to be finished now! sad

Not sure how else to get things going again as with all the hassle and problems and snooping around from the media the socials are a bit dodgy now too.

We had some great times here especially 2005 to 2008 when the scots chat and social scene was at it`s best but other free sites stole everyone away then in part due to the popularity and greater active numbers on said sites the social side seem to become more mainstream and less discreet hence the current media interest that coupled with the fact that it seemed like a popularity contest between organisers to see who could run the most / best socials and the reason we stopped attending them a few years ago :sad:
Bring back the good old days and the laughs with socials run by folks you could trust like Sunni & nibs, play & cum, jandj65 etc :wink:

Yes we are well too and i agree with you every step of the way. Miss the "Good Old Days" and the socials. But hey we have made a lot of friends from the site and still keep in touch with a lot of them.

We come to Edinburgh often for a weeken and enjoy the grass market and rose street but it always only us out! Would be great to come up if could meet up with others like us! Good drink and good company!!!!

Thanks for putting your names down those of you who have but as you can see we dont have many people putting their names on the list so its hardly worth it as it stands. If by some chance others do put their names down we can still try get some arrangements made and get together for some social drinks.
