ESSEX. Possible Munch???

Ive got a free house, not big but fair size. But im by myself and i would like to arrange something. i.e. BBQ or drink around my house for ive never done this, If more peeps then i have some great pubs with reception rooms near me if there is a lot or interest with local reasonable b&bs. I have been on here for about 3 years and i'm gaggin for some friends. Dear BOBANDSUE. i could do with your advice too. ive been to one of yours and it was good but i was too nervous as i did not know anyone and left rather soon. Please help.

Hi Essexlad, sounds a really good idea, but I think it is a social you are thinking about rather than a munch (which is open to ALL SH members).
If this is something you are thinking of organising, then it may be worth setting a date then people will be able to decide if they are available or not, and think about your rules, for example, is it only people that you know, or are you willing to let strangers into your home.
It may be worth speaking to others who have had socials and get a bit of advise but remember, if it is in your home, then you really do need to be careful who you are giving out your address to, and what the hell will the neighbours think wink
