I'll be in Birmingham on business on 17th Oct. Can anyone give me an idea of whether Chams is likely to be worth a visit on a Thursday night? I've been to Partners and Cupids in Manchester in the past but have never found them to be that busy and mostly full of single guys (before you say it, yes, I know I'm one too) but have heard that Chams is more likely to be busier - is that right?
I've been to Cupids many times over many many years. Also many times to Chams over past 5 years or so.
I'd say that Chams is certainly worth a visit on any night. Generally a busier club than Cupids (also bigger) and I'd say you have a very good chance of some fun, provided of course you're familiar with the rules of such places & don't make a nuisence of yourself!
Also worth going in early if you get the chance (unlike Cupids mostly) as Chams tends to be busier through the afternoon & early evening too.
Jaccuzi & cinema are good places to chill out & bide your time if there's nothing going on in the rooms...
Have fun! wink
I don't think I've been on an ordinary Thurs (I've attended BBW parties when they were on a Thursday), so can't comment on how busy it'll be!
BUT, be aware that Chams has a long waiting list for single guy's membership, so I wouldn't just turn up on the night. Give them a phone before hand. Especially if you're travelling any distance, I hate to think of anyone spending money on transport or fuel only to be turned away at the door!
I used to go to Chams a lot on a Thursday evening. It used to be a good night (I've not been for a few years as I moved away from the area). There was a good mix of singles and couples.
Just a word of warning though. You may want to check that the club is accepting single males. Last I heard, there was a waiting list of a few months.
