Hi m8 I stayed there in July and there's a huge series of sand dunes to the north of the island not that far from Corralejo town which is a National Nature Reserve, there's plenty of spaces there to have fun with others. 
Depending on the hotel you're staying at there may be free buses running there, I stayed at the Atlantis Palace and they ran a bus there in the morning at about 10ish and picked up again at about 3ish.
