I would guess if you're a woman looking for a man then you're spoilt for choice. A woman looking for a woman probably has a fair chance but a man looking for a woman is a dead loss.
It seems to be a lot easier when you know people so I'm still ever hopeful and will keep on trying to make that first contact.
There are a lot of friendly people here but it's only natural to stick with people you know.
