Harry Jones Norwich Social Friday CANCELLED, HARRY IS SICK

Hello everyone
Just like I did last year, I will be arranging a social to take in the Norwich Beer Festival.
Before you all go I don't drink your real ale flat cap crap Harry, this takes the format of meeting up in a pub first in the evening, so non beer drinkers feel welcome, then during the evening those of us who are beer anorak types can move on there leaving everyone else in pub, returning to the pub later on to chat further.
Update at the moment definites are a couple and I attending , but in accordance with the rules I hereby state that there may (because I can't bloody keep up with eveyones status) be non-members/banned members/aliens from mars/beer drinkers etc etc coming (but obviously I am using my discretion in who I mention it to and lets be honest, noone lives this way anyway lol

).
Whilst I am not that local I know of one or two links to hotels should anyone require them.

Oh Harry my friend - it would be so good to join u at the beer festival again.. but as you know my baby is due on Oct 12th so it may be pushing it a little rolleyes

Let me know of proceedings just in case though- you never know this one could come tomorrow! :shock:

It would indeed be lovely to have you join me again but I am NOT leaving you in charge of my half pint of Milton Mammon this time :twisted: lol

I was warming up at a local beer festival tonight and had a great time.

Was that the delectable Norfolk who drunk yer mammons??? I though H had a hand in it as well :grin:
Sadly we are doing something the weekend before, and the funds wont stretch to covering this one as well, so think of us when you have your first pint wink

I know it was delicious, thats why I bought it and left it in safe hands (so I thought) to enjoy when I got back :lol:

Is the festival held near a rail station or within easy reach?
Do you have more info on the festival like entry fees, opening times, accessibility for people with disabilities, etc?
I had a quick check on multimap and Norwich is 2 hours' driving from a relative's area.
Apart from the beer festival, is there anything else interesting to do in Norwich or is it a quick in and out job?

As the locals aren't about yet, I'll try...................
The beer festival itself is in the city centre and is not too far from the railway station (London terminus is Liverpool St I think).
If Harry does it the same as last time, it'll be a meet at a pub somewhere and then the beer festival. A fair few of us stayed over last time.
Norwich is an OK place with things to see and places to go.......... it depends on what you are looking for

It has just dawned on me that if any of you are busy that evening but are free in the afternoon, I will unless I get a better offer (dream on Harry lol

), be at the beer festival in the afternoon session (1130-330) so I can help you out with which ones to pick in the evening.
Don't worry about me for the evening, I drink at such a slow pace I will be sober then.

Hi Us2. Lovely to hear from you. I hope that unlike last time we met I won't be trying to set any new landspeed records to Holkham Car Park whilst wearing a brand new pair of flip flops lol

If you want to pm me with a clue of your whereabouts I can see when I am next heading your way so can grab blanket, but doubt I will get to use it till next year now :cry:
