Like many things in life it's a question of quality first then quantity.
If your sperm is poor it doesn't matter if you can provide gallons you won't be invited to sire a legion or two of sprogs by the clinic!

By your local fertility clinic,
lol

Actually, this is quite a serious matter.
There's a dire shortage of sperm donors at the moment which means that cpls who are depserate to have children but cant, either because the male partner is infertile or there is no male partner are having a really hard time.
I donate regulary and its nice to know that I am contributing to a worthwhile cause as well as furthering my gene pool.
You also get tested regulary for any STD's so combined with popping out during your lunch hour for a bit of DIY manuel relief you get a full check up.

Will you still feel as happy if any of the children you produce via donations come knocking on your door?
I know the change in anonymity rules has put many people off, which is sad but understable in some ways.
Just wondered whether it affected your outlook in your donations at all?

Yes, can understand that the recent change in the laws may have had an adverse effect on the numbers of male donors.
My decision to become a donor came about mainly as a result of knowing a cpl that couldnt have children as a result of the male having a near to zero sperm count - seeing how this affected them made me think that I could at least try to help others in the same boat.
Should any children as a result of my donations come knocking at my door 18 years down the line I would be delighted. So in answer my outlook is not affected at all.
Something I've always meant to do, I give blood and carry donor card and on bone marrow register but never got around to donating any swimmers yet!
Anonymity might put people off but I agree with Robin and don't mind so much as doing my bit for a healthy gene pool and helping those less fortunate.
They pay you in the US don't they?
Might have to take a trip over there and get a few $$
I would like to help also so where do one go????
That's cool Robin thanks for answering.
Versace wink lol

They should try recruiting at my local council offices, train company and ISP support staff, they are all a bunch of wankers!
Well there you go, thats my good deed done, Hang on.. ive raised awareness, which means some people will go and donate... which ultimately means i will be responsible for some little ones out there in 9 months or so............. Damn and blast.
My i now state that any bugger who trys to get hold of part of my millions to support any young wippersnappers who appear in 9 months, ultimately can nick off.
wink
