Ice Skating in Sheffield - anyone fancy it?

Just canvassing for interest in a night out at the Ice Rink in Sheffield sometime in the next couple of months.
If there is enough interest I'll get something arranged - down at Don Valley, maybe getting a bite to eat later and perhaps popping into Brannigans?
Let me know if you fancy the idea!

If it's after Christmas or perhaps just before Christmas then I'm up for it, but we'll have to wait and see if I'm well enough.

Manchester to Sheff is do-able on the train!
I'll be driving up to the rink - I can fit 4 in the car so can give a few a lift.
If the old rink is still open =- then it's nearer to the station - I'll check it out.

It's about three million years since I went to the silver blades skating but if I am free I wouldn't mind having another go.... if all else fails it will be a good laugh watching me fall over and get some fingers sliced off by someone pretending they are a speed skater lol

hi myself and my girlfriend are new to this board so the chance to meet any1 off here would be great so count us in but there is only 1 small prob with this idea n thats braniggans has now shut down so the whole of that building is closed with club wow also shut!! smile

Brannigans has closed???????
Is that the whole chain or just the Sheff one?
This is likely to be sometime in January - so I will let know know when we have more diefite arrangements

Hey, less of the 'showing your age'! I used to skate at Silver Blades (Liverpool) too!
Was Bradford rink a Silver Blades one?

i've not skated for about three years, used to go to bradford regular and had a few lessons but was never very good. got some (much needed smile) protective equipment and some skates.

Last time I went ice skating there I broke my coxis bone!! Couldn't walk, could only lye down on my stomach for about 6 weeks. Did enjoy it though before I fell!!!

i broke a bone in mi hand (don't know what it was called) then i injured mi ankle and that cost me in chiropracters fees sad
