OK just another idea for a night out with a difference.....
There is a in Castleton near Leeds.
Real snow - just indoors, 2 button lifts.
If there any Skiers amongst us who fancy a trip to Xscape - let me know.
It's not a cheap place but can be a damn good laugh.
I was thinking of perhaps Feb or March 2006

They include lessons GHC - just need more notice to sort that out - what I'll do is see who would be interested over the next few weeks then contact Xscape to arrange a time when they have vacancies in the lessons.
Bump!
Wow just my hobbie Alexandra glad you brought this up. Been wondering if their many skiers on here. Where do I put my name down and I wont require lessons if invited as 18 years experiance but willing to give some lessons FOC.
Cheers
Mark
Brill Mark - have you ever been to Castleton?
It's not too bad - far better than a dry slope.
If anyone fancies boarding in Milton Keynes let me know. I'm a complete beginner but really keen.
Hi Alexandra,
Not been in this one but have passed it going to visit customers. I usally go to the snowdome in tamworth. The only thing a dry slope is good for is perfecting technique and putting holes in your clothes confused
Look forward to something being arranged but please dont pick any dates from the 10th feb to the 27th feb 06, as will be away in lake tahoe for the real stuff.
Cheers
Mark

You lucky, lucky devil!
I was in Colorado earlier this year for a couple of weeks!
Work commitments mean I wont be able to go next year
I'll bear those dates in mind!
A bump to see if any other skiers maybe interested!
Hi
I think skiing will be a great idea. I work in the ski industry and travel all over, would be good to get others together at a slope. I might even be able to sort out a discount, but cant promise anything.
The other choice is i have an apartment in the french alps that could be used for a long weekend or week skiing in the french and swiss alps.
Let me know what the situation is and if anyone is interested.
Glenn
Glenn - that sounds absolutely superb!
I will be in touch about the snowdome trip.
And maybe we could at looking into an SH Ski Club on here sometime.
Imagine the Apres Ski with this lot!!! rolleyes

Hell yes the apres ski would be amazing. LOL
Love the idea of a ski club. I have my instructors qualifications so teaching would be free and easy.
Would need to find genuine people and meet before comencing the idea but its a great one.
Glenn
First timers need to realise that minimum standard for the slope is the ability to link turns and control speed (!!!!!!!!!)
First timers would need to book lessons with the Xscape instructors or else they'd be thrown off the slope (i;ve seen it happen)
Count me in though............ snowboarder though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyone else out there 'boarding?
I'd be well up for a trip to castleford, as long as you dont mind dirty snowboarders invading ;-)
