Is there life in leicestershire

Scrolling through the huge amount of topics and adverts there seems to be little or nothing that ever happens in leicester?
Is it that anything that ever happens just passes me by? I know there are a few guys in here from my part of the world but there seems to be no response to any of the threads they post.
I hope I am proven wrong, but get the feeling that this wont happen confused
