Us swingers do exist on the island guys but very few people want to play with other islanders,
This was done not so long ago but I dont know how to put the link on so you will have to search for it.

You/they won't be able to afford the boat trip :!:
The Solent is the most expensive piece of water, prorata, to cross in the world :!: mad
Yes, it is, no wonder they don't want a bridge or a tunnel, somebody would lose a lot of revenue, not saying who,.. but they have Red Funnels smile
I think the trip would be money well spent, especially in convivial and friendly company,
Bill
It isnt necessarily that expensive the ferry companies normally have deals going you just have to research it!
Would you think twice about puting the money into petrol for the car though??????
We have had a great time with Islanders and Overners biggrin
Still waiting to play with fellow Islanders but always happy to play with thise over the water!!!!!!

No, Olive, I wouldn't, but that is out of necessity. I know the ferry companies have some good deals going. Just come back from Pisa....£13 return from Bournemouth !!!! *smile,

That's interesting Wallace as we call them Grockles too (as well as overners). The locals are called Caulkheads which I believe is something to do with boatbuilding.

I guess everywhere has it's own local name for "visitors", sttrage to find that the Island and devon have the same nema.
caulking is to do with shipbuilding, I beleive it is a term used to sealing the wood on the hull of wooden ships, but am open to be corrected by anyone with more knowledge on the subject.
Enjoying your Bank Holiday?? I am on nihgts :)
Perhaps if an islander could give us a pub name to meet up in ( by PM only of course) we could get together for drinkies and, well, more drinkies ( its a long way to come for one drink lol ).
Let me know if anyone wants to make this happen, I would gladly take the weekend off to meet our southern cousins.
My apologies for the spelling in my last post..... methinks I need a new keyboard.... or something???
Can't claim any experiences yet through this site but did enjoy being led astray last summer whilst on the island for a break. Not that it has anything to do with last year but strangely enough I seem to be on my way back there in June!!! Island life for me!
duh, and what I meant to ask was, for any tips as to how to arrnge ameet whilst over there this year. Apparently hubby from last year has gone all prudish so I'm not counting my chickens this time!
Saxon Logan.... if you do manage to arrange one, and it corresponds with my days off, then I would travel over to the Island from Southampton smile
I would be more than willing to organise a get together on the isdland if enough people come to make it worthwhile.
if you came over as foor passnegers I would organise something for close to the ferry terminals.
Or I could find out prices for b and bs.
Let me know if you are interested
Olive.... I would be more than happy to come, depending on my days off, I work shifts.
As for B & B, depends who it was with *LOL* smile
Hi, we're another couple of islanders, new to all this, but keen! Can someone PM me and let us know where its all at??
Cool, it almost sounds like we have a plan coming together!
You want to be careful Olive you'll end up as a Swinging Tour Operator at this rate!
lol

Don't you just  it when a :swingingchair: plan comes together smile,
Bill
As a fellow islander I would be more than happy to attend such a gathering - just name the time and the place
Ok Guys I will put my brain in gear and come up with a date in the next few days, it might nit be until the emd of august begining of september cos I am really busy with my first aid duties but I will see what I can do
Olive
May not make it that late in the year Olive, let me know the dates though and I'll do my best!
Will be on the island on 21-23 June if anyone fancies arranging a dalliance?
By the way, when is a dalliance a tryst or isn't it?
