Did come to the pub Saturday night but got a little nervous when we saw the SH Private Party signs on the pub entrance doors.
As Paul sometimes works in the area and has used the pub we had second thoughts.
Don't want you to think we didn't show up, hope everyone had a great time.

Can I say many thanks to the people
that did turn up except one person that
gave me sooo much verbal abuse that I had to
leave the venue.
I felt that if I would have stayed longer,
the mentioned person might of got nasty with me.
This person will be contacted by a
Moderator in the next couple of days.
I haven't put my views on till on,
as I wanted to be balanced in my viewpoint...
also I've had a really bad flu since Sunday.
Due to the high-amount of no shows & in my
view poor reasons for people not making it,
I will NEVER attempt to arrange
another Social.
One Couple even came all the way from
West Yorkshire.

i didnt attend and am sorry that you felt that you had to leave the venue due to 1 person ... couldnt the venues staff have had a word with the person concerned to calm the situation as it was your function.. as far as no shows are concerned i feel that this is all part of an organisers life and having arranged socials etc myself i am well aware of people not showing up and not giving reasons or 'weak' reasons.
it is a poor show and shame on them for not informing the organiser as i know how much effort goes into organising such events especially if there is an outlay of cash that needs to be covered by the people attending
it is people like yourselves and myself that arrange these events with the best intentions of getting like minded people together in an enviroment that is safe and meant to be fun for all.
that said it was not a munch and therefore is not governed by sh rules and regulations so i dont see that a lot can be done by naming and shaming even if to a moderator
