Yes - thanks for such an excellent evening Bernie and Bassman - it was excellent to be able to put faces to all the names I've seen around online.
As usual for me, I spent most of the evening planning/hoping to speak to certain people, but never quite collecting enough nerve to do it! Silly I know (as everyone seemed so friendly and welcoming) but that's just me - quite shy really and always kick myself afterwards, but never learn for the next time! In spite of my regret over not really talking - I thoroughly enjoyed the evening! Loved watching the dancing!
Some comments to people I saw and who stuck in my mind (apologies to those who didn't stick!):
Bernie - thanks for the very warm welcome and introducing me to a few people. I must admit, you were nothing like I imagined (not sure what I imagined, or why - although I think your boots in your avatar might have influenced it!). As it turned out you were lovely and it was wonderful to meet you - thanks for yours and Bassman's work to organise the social.
Redpantherman - loved the wig and toolbelt - did you wear it when you travelled, or just put it on when you arrived?
Corriefem - Great outfit - you certainly took a lot of effort over it and it was amazing! Would have loved to see the looks you got going across London. Sleep well last night?
Harry Jones - glad to have finally seen the infamous Harry and his cap - loved the medallion by the way!
Sarah - nice to finally put a face to a bottom!
Tulip - loved the bunches and uniform!
MikeC - did you really not realise people were watching what you were doing with that bottle? You certainly seemed very experienced with it!
Osemlover (Mrs) - wow!
I'm sure I've forgotten lots of other people I saw (and probably never spoke to - sorry!) - so apologies there.
And finally - yes Bernie, I really should drop my Newbie tag now... Just got to think of something more appropriate! Kinda got used to this one now - but I think I've outgrown it now. Didn't think too much about it when I signed up!
Thanks again for organising the social Bernie - and I hope some people saw me and can recognise me, even if I was rather quiet!
