Hi - I am staying near Manchester airport on Thursday night before flying home on Friday. Can anyone let me know of clubs in the area that are worth a visit.

depends what you want? club clubber place like hardcore stuff go to venus but preferably good nights out just head to deansgate locks start of in loaf (depends which end) theres a few there all worth a try...and a comedy store... definitely worth going if u can get tickets

Perhaps you need to specify... did you mean swingers clubs or just your usual "clubbing" clubs...?
Either way, you have an answer above - if it's the former, I always find Cupids good fun and very friendly. Thursday is often a pretty good night. 'fraid I'll not be there this week though as work takes me to London on Thurs & Friday. If it's the latter, then I'm too old to offer any meaningful advice.....

We will both be staying in Manchester on 16th August and as newbies, would certainly welcome any advice on swinging clubs in the area. We are looking to dip our toe in the water and see what happens - hopefully some sexy fun.
We are staying next to Xanadus but have read mixed reports. Cupids seems popular as is Partners out at Bury. Our problem is that it will be a Wednesday evening (from about 11pm) and it looks as if Cupids shuts at midnight and we get the impression that Xanadus will be very quiet.
Is there any point getting to Cupids at 11pm? Are we likely to walk into an empty Xanadus? Is Partners likely to be worth the trip out to Bury?
Any help from experienced locals would be very much appreciated as we don't want our first experiences to be a complete letdown, just because we've picked the wrong day.

Eek... don't know Partners or the other clubs that well (not recently anyhow), but I have to say that turning up at Cupids all excited at on a Wednesday could end in a big disappointment....
I presume you can't make it any earlier than that...? And that you only have the one evening in Manchester? If you have transport, I'd be tempted to suggest you try out the Greedy Girls night at the Townhouse on the Wirral..... That is always good fun on a Weds, and is open until ! About 45 mins drive from Manchester, but you'd still be there by
