Hi Pauly - try not to worry we not all mad as a box of frogs - just most of us :color:
What everybody else said, plus some vocal trance, iio, sonique and the like, though I doubt anybody else will agree
I see Katnis has all the cheese covered. smile
Personally I hate al the cheesy stuff, 80s crap, soul, motown, etc. But I also appreciate I'm in the minority.
I'm more into decent dance tunes (popular dance stuff like Guetta, Calvin Harris, etc.), and hard rock (AC/DC, Metallica, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails) plus all the grunge stuff.
My favourite song of all time is Mudhoney's "Touch Me I'm Sick", which to my surprise was actually used in a game advert over Christmas.
Some suggestions that appeal to my pallet: -
AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long
Any Calvin Harris singles - Bounce, Not Alone, Ready for the Weekend, Spectrum (Say My Name) with Florence & The Machine, etc.
Faithless - We Come One, Insomnia, God is a DJ
David Guetta - When Love Takes Over
Chris Brown - Beautiful People
Swedish House Mafia - Don't You Worry Child
Chemical Brothers - Hey Boy Hey Girl, Let Forever Be, Do It Again
Nirvana - Any single OTHER than Smells Like Teen Spirit
Queen - Early singles (Greatest Hits I)
The Cure - In Between Days
Guns 'n' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
INXS - Any single
Hendrix - Any single
Motorhead - Ace of Spades
Prodigy - Any
Rolling Stones - Any single
Thin Lizzy - Boys are Back in Town
Metallica - Whisky in the Jar
The Who - Any single
There's loads more, but I think it'd be only me on the dance floor ;)
Good luck, and thanks for asking!

Huzzah! At last, some music suggested that has a pulse.
As I am not currently on the list for the Manc social so not really in a position to make any suggestions but I sure have found me'sen cringing with the stuff being suggested.
80's/90's music has it's place, which was the 80's and 90's or on the likes of Radio Stations such as Absolute 80's/ Heart FM but thats about it. There are only so many times you can listen to the likes of Human League/Bananarama/Gary Numan/Abba/Adam Ant etc etc etc before you reach for the vomit bucket or find your eyes altogether glazed over with utter boredom.
Anybody looking in would think 'swingers?, keys in the bowl, pampas grass and 80's disco music at the local Allotment Growers social club...all thats needed now is a wet t-shirt comp
Sorry, but the location is Manchester, it's in the city, it's a reasonably happening venue and it's a Saturday night...the music should be pumped up, doesn't have to be quite on the same level as the Clubs on the Beefa scene such as Amnesia, Pacha or Space but by eck a little Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Sven Hath, Carl Cox, Lisa Lashes and for some end of evening/wind down Lounge the likes of Paulo Arruda....just something ANYTHING other than 80s/90's muck.
I'll get me coat
nowt wrong with a bit of cheese :rascal: as long as its Philly on toast ;)
nobody will give a monkeys by the end of the night anyway, as long as it aint wheels on the bus bolt

What everybody else says, a bit of vocal trance wouldn't go amiss, iio and the like nor would songs from the late mid 80's to mid 90's!
Don't forget we need summat perfect for the 'sex in a suit' and 'the belle of the boots' competition. xxx
