There'll also be an afters party at my house
On the 28th December to be exact.
It will be a bring-a-bottle party (the afters party that is) as usual and food will be laid on. just a few sarnies and nibbles etc.
I have a load of music on disc, but would always appreciate it if people would bring some to play too, so that we have a variety to suit everyone's tastes.....(not too loud though cos I don't think neighbours will be too pleased)..................lol
I've had interest off 4 couples and a few singles already and people who I have already met and know to be genuine will get preference.
Others will be put on a standby list and if any of the originals drop out will go on the invite list.
Cut-off date for joining will be 1st December, unless someone I know can vouch for you being genuine.
I just want to re-iterate that this will primarily be a social party and there is no guarantee of anyone playing. (PURELY social at the venue) If it happens, then it happens, but there is no guarantee.
I'm going to make this a "present for everyone" party too, same as we had last year. Basically, all the ladies buy a present for a lady and all the men buy a present for a man. We put them all in big bags, ladies presents in one bag and men's presents in another. Then each and every one of you take turns picking a present from your respective bags.
The presents are limited in cost up to a fiver, so it isn't about cost, just about everyone getting a present.
Oh and I've heard along the grapevine that there'll be a ceremonial burning of the red shorts at the afters party..............yeah right...as if..................lol

I will be running a newbie hand-holding thing, where if a first-time party-goer feels very nervous about walking into a party alone, not knowing anyone, they can ring me when they get near and one of the appointed hand-holders will come outside and stand and have a chat to them for a few minutes to set their minds at ease, before walking into the party with them.
I'm looking for a few people to volunteer to help me with this.
Just a few stipulations.
Male newbies will be escorted in by male "hand-holders" (don't worry, they won't really hold your hand)
Female newbies will be escorted in by female "hand-holders"
Similar kind of thing to the mentor system.
If there are any couples that want escorting in, it will be a couple that comes to meet you.
Anyone wanting to help me out with this and volunteer to hand hold, please PM me and let me know.
Badges will be made by my underpaid secretary (Kazswallows)
....and will be given a special theme with it being Xmas. Your forum names will be used on your badges, but you can PM myself or Kazswallows if you want anything different on your badges than your forum names. (ie. if you are a couple {CCR for example} you can have MR CCR and MRS CCR on the badges.....or just 2 badges with CCR on)Marcuso
