Hi there sexy bifem_cpl,
Firstly can I thank you on behalf of all of us in the southwest corner of this fair isle for taking on the enormous responsibility of trying to organize a Munch in this area. It couldn't be in better hands 8)
If you manage to arrange it count me in for definite (if only to meet you at last) wink

One thing though - forgive me for being pedantic - but could we call it the South West & Wales Munch (we're funny creatues here in Taffy Land :lol
Hope it all works out and we get it to happen, best of luck and please keep me up to date xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Taunton does have the merit of being on the motorway and rail network, and its OK by us.
But if we want to be really democratic we could go just down the road to somewhere like Chard which is just by the three way join of Devon, Somerset and Dorset.
Hmm, just realised this is where "Crinkley Bottom" is. Maybe not.

Hi bifemcpl, again thanks for organising. We live in Devon and agree that Taunton would be the best place to hold the munch, as stated it is near the motorway and rail network. We look forward to meeting all who attend.

We've registered an interest in the Chiltern Munch also, that way hopefully we'll make one of them if not both. biggrin

The Munch sounds like it is beginning to become a reality,great!! Please accept my invitation to offer any assistance as required, I know I am a lone man, but I know that I will bring a touch of fun to what sounds like a gteat occasion. Taunton sounds a great location for most of the people that have added bits to this forum, lets hear it for the carrot-crunchers!!! biggrin

hi we are a married couple and are very very new to this but we're willing to have a look or a try we are in the Torbay area so exeter would be good and a sunday would be briliant as we have two kids and need to organise a babysitter,

Hi guys,
I know I've said this on another thread but I think it needs repeating. You've been debating this for several weeks now.
Until someone grabs hold of this and says "We are arranging a SW munch. It will be at this location and on this date who wants to come along" then it's just not going to happen.
The most popular location from the poll seems to be Devon. If someone is gonna follow this through then can I be included with the details?
If it's not gonna be followed up then it might be time to unsticky the post and let it drop down to the murky depths of the forum.

I agree with Steve on this one.
I know its a different pace of life down here, but let's get on with it. We need only a few things
Location: We seem to have decided on Taunton, so let's stick with that
Date: If its a Saturday then I suggest March 13th
Someone to take charge: I don't know if the original proposers are still willing. I have no experience at doing this and am not even sure what's needed. Is there anyone around here who has been to one?

You've just missed it. We had a London munch in W1 on Sat 28th February. There were 20+ of us there. That's a lot less than will be at the Midlands munch but we had a great night.
There will probably be another one but not for a month or two (or three).
