Hiya Dave
I think one of the main issues here (the one that springs to mind anyway) is that it's YOUR pub...therefore you personally would financiallyprofit from holding a Munch. Would you be holding it for the benefit of the SH members purely because you have the ideal venue....or because it would be of benefit to you personally?
Also, as an organiser, people put alot of trust in you that things be done 'right', with discretion and regard for attendees safety - hence imo folk would need to 'know' you. I'm not saying you cant do it, & there hasnt been a Munch in Norfolk (to my knowledge) yet, but I do think that perhaps sticking around a bit and letting people 'get to know YOU' rather than 'Dave the pub landlord who owns a potential Munch venue' would stand you in better stead. It would also allow you to get to know the people you intend to invite ..I'm sure you learnt this one from the last doo you organised..- simply throwing open the doors to your own venue leaves you wide open to indiscretion from people who are less that scrupulous about their understanding of what a Munch is. Do you mind your pub being known to all the yocals as a swingers pub and what goes on there on weekends? - maybe you dont, going by your profile & pics.....but your Munch attendees might
Aside from all that, you would stand to profit from this - all venues do, but they're not usually SH members!
