North West Munch III will be run along exactly the same lines.
As usual the venue will only be given out using the site’s Private Message (pm) system during the week before the munch. By default that means you have to be a registered user of the site to come along. You also have to be an active user of the forums or the chatroom. People joining the site and just making one or two posts asking to come along aren’t going to get the details unless they can prove to either Vicky_uk or myself that they’re genuine.
The venue is in West Manchester and is a couple of miles inside the M60 (Manchester Ring Road). That’s as specific as I’m going to get about the venue on a public forum except to say that it’s an excellent venue, the bar is reasonably priced (cheap), there will be a basic buffet, there will be a DJ & karaoke for entertainment and apart from the staff we will have the place to ourselves.
To make sure we have the place to ourselves there will be 2 guys on the door with a list of all the people coming. Only people with their name on that list will be allowed in so it’s essential that you let me know you’re coming.
The cost to get in is free. However, to help cover the costs of the DJ, extra staff and the buffet we will be having a collection at some point during the evening. This will be totally voluntary and we’re only looking for change. I think we collected £128 at the last munch which was just under £1 per person.
The reason I’m posting this so early is that at the last munch some people struggled to find accommodation. I’d suggest that if you are planning to come and need accommodation then you book it as soon as possible. It can easily be cancelled nearer the time if for some reason you can’t make it.
