Nottingham Munch 30th July...It's ttttodayyyyy!!!!

The Nottingham Munch is now FULL and therefore the list is CLOSED.
Just in case you didn't get that bit above, there are NO more places available, nil, nowt, nuffink, zilch, zero, places available now.... sorry, but thats the way it is... any other questions regarding the Munch, please PM sarah on the link just below!

Sarah is organizing the Nottingham Munch, not Postie....any questions regarding the Munch need to be sent to her, you can contact sarah, by clicking here
Qualification for an invite to the Munch you MUST have joined the site before the 30th April 2005
The theme is red, blue and white

All may not be lost.....I have offered to take over....just waiting to hear back from Clare now.....
If I can take it over and find a venue then I will do......I have organised Munches before and am happy to organise this one as well......

I presume the venue is booked... so maybe that is already sorted, if not... it wouldn't be impossible to find a new one...

We've done the same DH, as we're local it may be easier from here?? But lets see what they say, at this moment we dont know why they have cancelled, it maybe that the venue has cancelled or anything.

I agree with Morbius. Lets just see what's happened before we string 'em up (understanding ain't I? lol ).

Right you guys,were extremely honoured by what your all offering so thanks biggrin
But no thanks,its personal reasons that weve had to cancel and we havent got the time or the energy to go into it all with someone else,hence the reason its cancelled.
Were hoping that we can arrange another one later on but right now that just isnt a priority.
And no we havent split up and were not getting divorced before any of you ask!

If it's for personal reasons then why not hand it over to someone else? A lot of people have already paid out money for hotels etc. The list is already available, you just need to let someone know about the venue and we could all still have the munch.
Without meaning to sound mean, it does seem a bit daft to cancel the whole thing if it's just you two who can't make it.

Right, I will try to take this over. the weekend is booked by most people. the list is on the site,
a venue is needed, give me 3 or 4 days and i will come back to you, there is nothing as such to hand over or to go through with who ever takes over.
can someone PM where the venue was last time and I will use that as a starting point.
Anything else anyone can remember by pm as well please

Why is a venue needed, if Clare and Steve already had one organised?
We are seeing what is left from the original munch plans, obviously all depends on what Clare is able to pass over as we don't know what the personal problems may be and if they will have time to respond to PM's before the munch...
so backup plans are being put in place.

I wasn't questioning her approach, I was only asking. I thought the venue was booked, that's all. It seems that other people thought the same?

Probably depends on the venue as much as anything. If a new one has to be booked some of the original people might not make it on to the list, I'm guessing?
all depending on the venue, but I would expect we would look for one that has enough space for everyone..

I would think that Sarah will try to find a venue large enough, yes.
Well we are still keeping the weekend free, even if its at another venue, if any help is needed just let me know.
Just one thing thou' if it does go ahead can someone let me have a list of hotels, because I haven't got them so unable to book a room.
