It is extremely rare for anyone to post that they are NOT interested in a social and the only way to gauge if there is real interest is to set a date and a venue and go for it. That way those who post will be those who are likely to attend because they know the date is good for them, rather than anyone who feels like it.
This has been running nearly three weeks now, at what point do you feel you have enough responses to commit yourselves?

Sorry mal we were just seeing whether there would be enough interest for us to hold one again thats all,didnt intend to upset or aggrivate have now decided we are going to do a christmas one and i will make a post to everyone to let them know thankyou x

Don't be sorry. I understand you don't want to commit unless you know there is a need for a social, but by at least setting a date you give members something to focus on and plan to, like babysitters, etc.
