Hello all,
Been a visitor to Rio's a few times and STILL I can't work out what the place is angling at??
I wanted to know if there is a particularly good time to go there, if anyone has tried a Monday (been suggested Wednesdays were good by a couple I was chatting to there) but yet to go there then.
Anyone heading there tonight/Wednesday? OR can give any advice - it would be appreciated.

I was there last wednesday from about 6-10. there were a few couples but literally loads and loads of guys! It was difficult to get into the steam rooms (doors were constantly opening and closing not giving the room chance to get really hot), jacuzzis or saunas! At one point we were queing up for the shower!
Dont let me put you off though because i like Rios - i think it may have been just one of those nights. You just might enjoy it a bit more if you have someone to go with!

I haven't been for a while, but will be there tonight so it'll be interesting to see if the 'hungry posse' attend on a Tues night as well.
At least when the gym was there, you could work out even if you did turn up without someone.
All the same, I'll have 'company' tonight so I get to work up a sweat for all the right reasons...

Well I can confirm that Tuesday's have a much more relaxed atmosphere. 
Ample space in the big jacuzzi, especially as the water temp was set to 'boiling' point :shock: although it was fun watching the facial expressions change as those brave enough took the plunge.
Rio's will always have a higher men to women ratio just by the very nature of the place but at least last night there was room to swing a cat (although why anyone would subject the poor puddytat to those sights and sounds is debatable) :shock:
All in all, my female companion and I had a great time... as we always do.

There's all sorts in Rio's. Mainly guys, some couples and groups of women in swimsuits. The place to do anything is in the upstairs rest rooms. The staff stop any action in the public area. Some couples and groups can do discreet fondling under water in the jacuzzis. The staff are friendly and do a good job serving drinks and chatting to anyone who wants to talk. They are okay and make the place work.
Forget the idea of it being a wild place for orgies. It's not like that. Its crowded and can get messy and noisy. People are sensitive to other people but it is not a party atmosphere. Things do go on but its discreet, cool and low key. You need to spend time and see if you fit in with the regular crowd. There are hundreds of tourists and drifters and you need to hang in there to get noticed.
Otherwise the facilities are okay for sauna, steam and jacuzzis. But it could do with a tidy up.
