Sat 12th June World Naked Bike Ride London 2010
It's that time of year again folks where as long as I am fit enough (fingers crossed) I will be participating in the World Naked Bike Ride in London.
Two important points to note - you don't have to be naked to ride along if you fancy coming with me and you don't have to be that fit, as there are over a thousand riders it crawls along at a slow pace and wont feel like the 9.5 miles it covers.
The actual ride itself is well documented .
For those who don't want to ride but want to meet up for a drink and a laugh first, I will be in a pub near Marble Arch from 2pm (but won't be drinking too much ahead of the ride :cheers: ) until so as to be at the assembly point in the south-east corner of Hyde Park, in a meadow north of the Achilles Statue for 3pm for disrobing and applying suntan lotion for the off at
The current route plan will pass near to: Hyde Park, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Whitehall, Parliament, The Law Courts, Ludgate, St Paul's Cathedral, Bank of England, Tower of London, Tower Bridge and City Hall (GLA Building and finish point).
I am sure I can be tempted into a drink to celebrate at the end.
So get yer bikes oiled up, pack your suntan lotion, find your helmet and join me. Failing that I got no decent pictures last year and with the new route this year really want pics taken outside two locations in the city so please volunteer.

There's a good video showing everyone setting off at start of last years one to give you a flavour You need to sign upto youtube for it as clearly loads of naked people on bicycles is very unsuitable for under 18's!

How about this for a first post and it's not even about swinging!
Jo and I did this ride last year and had a fantastic time, one of the funniest things I've ever done! Would highly recommend that this ride is on everyone's 'Bucket List' (things to do before you die!)
It is a bit unnerving at the start when each side of the road is about 5 deep with tourists taking photos and vids.
As long as the weather is good we'll be there again this year. Last year there was 1,200 naked riders and I'm sure there will be even more. So if you've nothing on (crap pun intended)Saturday get down to Hyde Park and have a very fun ride past all the sights with your tackle out!
