Hi guys, just thought seeing as there doesn't seem to be a huge Scottish presence on this site that I might start up a forum just for us! Help each other out a bit if we can you never know where that can lead! So guys and girls pop on a reply so that we at least know you're there - you can't be shy if you're on a website like this...!
I see from another posting that there is a munch happening the second weekend of next month in Edinburgh. Anyone know anymore details about it? Anyone interested in going?

Hello Phantom and welcome to SH.
To express interest in the next McMunch you'll need to post on that thread - it keeps all those interested in the same place and makes it easier for the organisers. All venue details about munches are PM'd to attendees about a week before the munch date.
As for a Scottish forum, you'll find that all those who expressed interest in the original Edinburgh munch and the latest being planned actually created one in the thread. If you want a specific forum, rather than a thread, you may want to take that up by PM with the Site Administrator, Mark.
Whilst we'd all agree we have to take geography into account, I'm not sure there is the need for national segregation! biggrin

You're right after a quick look round I see there are not too many Scottish folk on here - travelling is always going to be a problem for the celtic fringes (especially for me as I live in the middle of nowhere- even Edinburgh is bloody miles for me) but if I think its worth it I don't mind - sometimes adds to the adventure!
I have added to the McMunch post and hope to be going along to it as a fellow newbie please say hi to me if you are going
Phantom - I assume you are in some of the same groups as me for arranging more local meets - if not I can give you some details

we have joined this forum as we are finding it very difficult to find friends in the perthshire area sad

Also we are new to the scene and would like to find out more about the Edinburgh munch .Can any1 help?

Maybe a scottish forum would help all us scots, (singles and couples alike), To maybe meet up with some local ppl.

Hi phantom i think having a scottish forum is another really great idea as it will cut out a great deal of searching for those people who find it hard to travel although the main forum is great it would be nice to be able to find events that are happening locally so to speak at short notice. Anyway i think its a great idea ta billy. lol

A scottish forum is a great idea! Not necessarily to be used for meeting up (alto great if it was!) but for general chat & getting to know fellow swingers on this site.
Seems to me like there is a lot of people looking for others in this neck of the woods but finding those who are geniune and willing seems difficult. A new forum would be a great idea.

This might sound really bad, I've been on this forum for a while now (although not so much lately due to personal matters) but I don't really see the need to put a great divide between England and Scotland. I made some great friends at the first Scotland munch and there were people who'd travelled a long way to get there. I really appreciated that and on the plus side, I can always call them and meet up for a drink if I am down in Englandshire. lol

I've also made loads of friends on here who I have yet to meet. Sure, it's good to be able to meet like-minded people in your area but its much better to stick around and chat to everyone, this forum is so much more than a meeting ground.
My best advice is to attend the next McMunch (but post in that thread, not this - you don't want to be missed out!) and you'll meet loads of great people from around here and possibly more from further afield who you'd like to keep in touch with.

Well, greetings from the cold snowy howling wastes of NE Scotland, my hands are freezing typing this and it's nearly June. Any offers to warm them up for me?
That's probably not the best offer most of you will have had for a while...... I could always warm them up first?

hi there couple fae fife, I note that you are interested in a scottish munch. There is one in the pipeline for next month. If you check in the 'sticky' section of the forum you'll see more details. As for "it's all guys" that's the nature of the beast I'm afraid. Perhaps if you attach a photo you'll get more luck.

It's all getting a little bit worrying this lack of contact from Byron regarding the Scottish Munch... Has anyone heard from / spoken to / felt the pulse of him in the last wee while? The main problem is that no one from the last munch seems to be in contact either!!
Byron if you are simply busy and haven't had time to reply then just drop us a note to let us know what the chat is. If you need a hand organising then drop me a line as I'd be more than happy to help figure out the logistics.

hi, just thought id post a note to let you know im here.
i also would like to find out more about this munch in edinburgh, if anyone knows anything then please drop me a line. im also very interested in finding out whats going on in scotland as im very new to all of this and dont know the sceen very well yet.
im in edinburgh (well near by anyway) and would realy like to get to know people.
