Surely pregnancy is least of the worries, I would presume most women using some form of contraception...it's the STDs that are less pleasant. sad

snip wont stop diseases though!!!! sad

i realise that, but it cuts the risk down.....anyway thats their problem not mine .......
Totally right Steph, can't believe anyone can be so blase about the risk of infections. mad
sorry but.......ohh umm you know me gotta have my say
say long as your protecting yourself does it really matter what others are doing?
some people like bare back sex as adults is a choise we make, if others chose to have unprotected sex thats totally upto them they know the risk they take cummon people do we really have to keep telling them, its no diffarent to the old cheating topic, each to their own wink

I don't disagree with the 'each to his own' school of thought but, you can't help but wonder about taking risks...I mean it's our lives we are playing with, when all is said and done.
I think he was referring to the fact that of the two situations, pregnancy and STI's, by having the snip it cuts out the worry of the pregnancy side of the equation, not that it reduces the chance of STI's.
Mal
Are we arguing in circles again?
Funny how Spikey hasn't been back to the thread. Wonder if he's been inundated with PMs??? rolleyes

Yes, this is a bit circular, but no matter how many times I read the post it does seem he is suggesting that having the snip reduces the chance of disease and, as Steph has pointed out, it doesn't.
i doubt anyone thinks the snip reduced the risks of std's if you read back the snip comment was made just after the what about 9 months down the line comment.
It just annoys me that people say.....oh stop jumping on the married and cheating people its upto them what they do yet some of the very same people are jumping on folks for not using condoms, either it is a site where we make our own choise's or its not?!!
Personally i am happy to not use condoms with people i know and have met b4, i wouldn't not use them in a club situation where there loads of men but i an 33 years old and feel old enough to make the dessision of who i shag and who i use a condom with...if people do not like my choises they don't have to shag me do they?
Its as simple as that, if i get a std does it effect you? no so don't worry about it lol so long as we protect ourselves the best we feel we need to does it really matter what others are doing?
we all know the risks we don't need telling every 5 mins
You have the choice and, I agree with you if I know someone really well I may not use a condom either. Strangers always.
I also agree that no one has the right to tell anyone what to do......but
My only concern is, as I said before, no matter how many times I read the post it is replying to a post about disease not pregnancy...maybe that wasn't the intention but that is how it reads and, as we all know, the snip does nothing to stop the spread of disease.
Ithink we gone totally of the subject here. A bit of fun has turned into a debate. Each to there own. But who and what is he going to do when he gets the man she wants. come on people get behind the MAN coz he is the Man. :P
This has gone a bit off subject but I still think its worth reiterating:
HAVE SAFE SEX!
By all means hump each others brains out bareback if you KNOW you are both (yes I know its not necessarily just two people!) free of desease, but under any other circumstances, is it really worth it!
in a way its not just the people doing it that can be harmed , if the guy has not had the snip and has hiv , think u can work the rest out !!!we hate condoms but if strangers are joining us were not gonna put our lives or anybody elses at risk ,

Hi sorry but as a male who has had the snip I would like to add the following;
I don't like condoms but I enjoy life.
I would always use condoms with strangers no matter how clean they say they are.
When trust has built up and you know people thats different as it would be if boy met girl and a relationship developed etc.
I have been sexually active for many years and never had a problem yet and yes I do have regular checks why wouldn't I?
Ok rant over and free choice to all......

I can't believe this:-
Some geezer joins,
on his first day posts something that is in all probability a wind up,
and people then have to spend two pages over the next couple of days discussing
" Shouldn't they be using condoms? "
Have we got so many life shortages?
Where's the original poster in all of this?
Gone to get on with his. That's where :!: :!: :!:
