I've played Mottram Hall a few times. It's a nice course, but I can't remember the costs. Most of Man Utd play there and most 'away' teams stay there when they play them.

I think this a great idea!
I for one would be more than willing to travel northwards to join in - if im invited?
THe idea of a North v South match is also appealing - maybe we could investigate that?
I have experience of organising golf evenets (as are others) and would be more that willing to lend a hand .
I'd love to be included in any golf match!

Nobody is saying that there arn't any good golf course down south, but i for one don't fancy traveling 200 mile to play a round.

Count me in. and if ur still looking for a course then there is a nice one in warrington. Mersey Valley. It is very good for both novice and advanced golfers and should make an entertaining day. We are new to this and would love to come and meet everyone

And the teams that don't stay there tend to stay and play at the Manchester Marriott in Worsley, a mere 10 mins walk for me (I pass it on the way to the pub...) biggrin

:D I don't play but understand it's a good course - it held some fairly serious event last year that stopped all local parking and made them really popular with the locals (not!).
Would be happy to pop along and caddy (any women golfers in need?) as golf's one of those things I've always wanted to try but never got further than the pitch'n'putt....

Bradley Park at Huddersfield is a brilliant coarse,they also do full breakfast and a fabulous after comp meal,the bar is good for the ladies as well,they also have electric golf carts for the lazy b@#gers like me.I hope foxy isn't my caddy,I wouldn't be able to concentrate on anything but her arse(which is unbelievably fabulous).I'd deliberately hit my ball in the bushes so she bent over to look for it,I've never cum 18 times in one day but there is always a first Foxy,but your avatar is thought I'd mention it ,john,x
