trying to organise a North-East munch maybe??

since the north-east munch that others were trying to organise seem to have gone belly up, i thought i would be brave enough to step in and try to arrange one....
so if i was to try to organise a munch for newcastle in mid october can you tell me if anyone would be interested so i can get a very rough feel for numbers, it is about time the "party capital" showed what we can do in terms of having a blast.......

I'd be up for a beer or two Sean... although wasnt PJ1 organising one? Or is that the one you were referencing going belly up? Thought I hadnt seen anything about it for a while.... Anyway count me in, any excuse for a beer... (thats if smoggies are allowed?? biggrin

Good for you Fabio, several of us were chatting together at the motel party on Saturday, lamenting the lack of a North-East munch - there were certain problems which knocked the plans for the other one on the head. I would be very willing to travel from Yorkshire, and I know you'll get several more declaring interest when they see this.
I'm too far away to help with anything which requires being there on the spot in advance, but let me know if you need any advice.

Fabio, can you sort out a definite date? Then it's easier for people to make arrangements. Once a date has been set then I will make it a Sticky biggrin

Been using this site for some time, but just discovered this forum - looks interesting. So let firmly display considerable ignorance by asking... What is a Munch?
While waiting for an answer from you good people, I think it is highly likely that I would like to attend anyway, so I would be interested (probably)!

Hi Hungry P, if you click on "help" under "Information" on the menu over on the left, then scroll down to General FAQs on the help page, you can click on "Munch". All will then be explained.

It's been wet, grey and miserable in Glasgow, until I started reading this thread, things are looking up. My first munch will be Edinburgh on the 20th so fingers crossed we will meet in the NE too.

Several people showed interest in the NE Munch/hotel party - I will contact them about your efforts and tell them to get their bums to Newcastle!

I'm going to a munch in Edinburgh soon too.........but the one I'm going to is on the 24th. Don't do the same as one bloke did at the last McMunch, he turned up a day early and I think he ended gatecrashing a birthday party or similar. He didn't have the funds to travel to Edinburgh again the night after and missed the McMunch altogether!! rotflmao
