Valentines Social\Party Brighton 13th Feb

Lets do this right. There will be music, there will be dancing, the pub will be open late! There may even be food (if I can persuade the landlord) and the staff at the venue will know we swing (although the other punters won't) so we can let our hair down a little. It will all be for free. wink

There are no facilities at the venue for playing, so you will need to make your own arrangements for after the party, but smooching and snogging will be fine! Well.....it is Valentines! :twisted:
You will be able to bring guests but only if you "book them in" in advance and obviously they should know what they are walking in to! lol

There will only be a limited number of places, so please book early!

hello x i would like a space in this one lol yes Im in derbyshire but i only moved here 2 yr ago, i used to work in the brighton sun club and I bet i will bump into a few people that remember me lol x

You do not need to 'bump' your thread every single day until the event, that is tantamount to spamming the site. If you have a reason to post, then that's fine.

As are the organisers of the Coventry, Leeds and Bristol Valentines parties. It's called consideration, giving people fair warning and also allowing notice for arranging the venue.
Now what exactly is your problem with that?

kevin i think you need to think more
do you realise that you have to book these things well in advance
this is to make sure you can get the venue
book all the requirements needed for such an event
then plan it
why do you think in august you see shops selling xmas stuff
xmas parties are booked from september
in jan you will probably see easter things
and i bet you reading tv mags advertising summer holidays
unfortunatly i cannot attend as im working valentines night

Well.....have solved the mystery of my posts vanishing, the moderators will now delete "bump" or anything they construe as a "bump" on this thread. It seems that I'm not actually breaking any rules, but it's not allowed here. On the other threads, I'm told it's completely different and allowable. I can bump, but only once a week, which is pretty much useless.
I'm sure this thread will now be locked or deleted, but until it is, please pass on by word of mouth to anyone you can, that this party is going to go ahead, come what may, as I've already paid for the venue.
I can be PM'd for details.

You have asked for advice and been given it, in PM which is the correct way to do it. You have decided to now make it public to have a dig at the moderators because you don't like the answers you recieved. You have been very selective in this post against what was really said, but why let the truth get in the way, eh?
What I will say is this. If you continue to raise you grievances in public then you will have this thread removed. You have been told exactly what you need to do, so I suggest you take that piece of advice and act upon it. Several moderators have tried to advise you about your socials over the last few weeks and have either been sniped at, ignored and certainly never thanked. You have now been told who to contact.
