Want to get out more and socalize in Slough?

This is a long shot... :shock:
Do you live or work near Slough? Want to get out more with likeminded people? Have a few drinks in a pub? smile

I've been racking my brain trying to think how to get out more - and I thought there may be others on SH with the same issue! :doh:
So if you're male or female and just want to get out more and enjoy the company of likeminded people then post a reply or send me a PM! :thumbup:

Although I never thought of it as a 'social', but I guess it is; some how I assumed they were bigger events.
What do we do now? :shock:
I guess we should firm up a date/time/pub and see if anybody wants to come along?
Let's get some suggestions first - anybody got ideas for a date and location?
I've don't know Slough well but my suggestions are:
Date: This Thurs (11th)
Location: CENSORED UNTIL I FIND OUT IF I SHOULD POST LOCATIONS!
But if anybody who knows Slough suggests something then I would prefer their suggestion over mine ;)
Dawnie says nooooo to posting exact locations on the forum. A rough idea is good enough for people to make plans with details going out in pms a day or two before the event :thumbup:

It has been suggested that we should have a date about a month away - this is to allow those that only log on once a week to be able to join in too.
I just need to choose a date that doesn't clash with other socials! I will most likely post the date tomorrow.

Hmm - I feel bad doing this - but I'm going to backtrack as I don't think I'm going to have to brain power to organise anything. redface

(due to "My Change of Status"; need to find somewhere to live etc)
BUT If somebody else wants to organize something then I think I should be able to attend. :-)

No but the basics still need organising, where/when etc then notifying peeps who have said yes. 36 has said he's got too much on due to his change in circumstances so anyone else got time to? I don't at the mo but up for going.

Name a date (not ask for 20 different options), not too far in the future, decide on a pub to meet in, then start a new thread. It really can be that simple for a first meet of the 'locals'. After that, then wait and see who says they can make it. You can have an initial social with as little as five people turning up,. If that goes ok, then more will turn up next time and that's how it develops!!
