I'm of the opinion that a young person of 18 is well able to consent/refuse according to their own mores.

As for an 18 year old being able to consent, well, that's according to the 18 year old isn't it....some are very mature, others are still very much 'kids' and are very much waiting to be exploited.,,, the tricky bit is working out which is which.
Very happy for 18 year olds to 'swing', stuck up totally for the young couple on here the other week that people were questioning, remember? It's just the large age gap that caused concern, that's all.

Glad you cleared up the 'we' bit - as for 18 year olds, what you say can be the very same for 35 year olds, 43 year olds and so on. Don't judge ability or sense by age, it's the poorests of factors which influence how mature people are. Vast generalisations are always a problem.
Some 18 year olds I wouldn't trust with a dead match head and some 45 year olds are in the same category.
Each to their own according to ability (sorry for the misquote!)

Very true, and as already said, no problem at all with young people swinging..no doubt whatsoever that some 18 year olds (and younger) totally know their own minds.
Just worried about motives sometimes, that's all..perhaps should stop thinking aloud and just keep opinions quiet in future?
