What happened to freedom of speech on SH !

Are we not allowed to put a post up that says thanks?
I started a thread a couple of hours ago thanking Fab for organizing last nights birthday bash come back an hour or so later and its been removed !
Will the mod that removed it please explain what I did wrong so I donâ€™t make the same mistake again.

There's already a thank you thread in the Cafe - that's probably why yours was removed/moved.

Not so much the rules - no point starting another thread when there's already one running with the same topic. You're not the first to have a thread merged with another and I doubt you'll be the last. At least next time, you'll know to look - instead of shouting about freedom of speech and demanding that the mods explain themselves?

That ^^^ came across as a bit 'shouty'.

It was me who moved it originally from 'Lets Meet Up' to the Cafe, which is where 'thank you' threads are normally posted. A 'thank you' thread isn't about meeting up, so no point putting it in there. I hadn't noticed someone had already started another 'thank you' thread, but one of the other Mods would have merged the two together.
An easy mistake to make, so don't worry about it.
